The installer said they wouldn’t recommend going any lower (probably due to the spacer specs?) than how they set it so I’m assuming it can go a little lower.

I haven’t figured this out but does valves only open in sports mod? If I am in comfort with the exhaust button on in the console, is the valves open? I always only found that the car is only louder in sports mod. Feels like that button doesn’t do anything.

The exhaust button on the center console is really just the piped in engine noise via the speakers. Actual exhaust valve opening is controlled by the sports settings I.e the sport or sport plus engine setting. It would be nice if the exhaust button actually controlled the exhaust valve though! Wouldn’t need the exhaust valve controller mod that some folks choose to do in order to open the valve fully or even open it with the engine in the comfort setting. Hope that helps!

Well, not actually true. Even if you could control the opening of the valves with a button, it would mean you are opening them to the BMW max of ~85%. You still need the controller to open them to 100% (or rig/tie them open). |

Yep that’s why I said folks get the controller to open them fully or open them in other engine settings

Agreed. Great fit. I cut out front anchors since I like to use a net.

What is the use case for this thing? Just to help prevent cargo from sliding around?

I use a net to keep larger items in check. This more for cleanliness. Normal liner is very tacky and debris/dirt accumulates easily and is a pain to vacuum. Also in event of spills. Or sand that comes out of everything after beach trip. Use your imagination. Not much different than in-car mats.

Took her out to see what the 20% tint looked like in the sun. Now back into garage until my paint is fixed and ppf finished.

Unintentional offroad exercise. The G87 didn't like it much.

Took the trip down to the dealer for my winter tires. Time for that now as its cooling a bit. Was a nice early Nov day for the trip! Autobahn not so crowded at all between Frankfurt and to the South of Stuttgart!
Pics: Caught a test Mini on the A6 traveling East Summer wheels off Winter wheels on Time to drive out Additionally the Zunsport oil cooler screen was installed. The radiator side screens and main middle screen were already installed by me. The new Michelin Pilot Alpin 5(PA5) were nice immediately. Felt very very smooth and comfortable. Hope we have a short winter! Will be in and out of Dubai so not all bad....... |
