I keep creeping this page WAITING for allocation announcements near me (Ohio)

I'm trying to be patient but my cynicism is creeping in big time. I went thru this during my F87 HEA / allocation / order experience.

If I truly believed 1st meant FIRST, I WOULDN'T CARE and would gladly wait. But after my last experience and being told I'm 1of2 people with MSRP deals... will I get bumped or oooppps?

Anyone else this cynical?

I would at least wait till after the allocation drop dates for each month (May's should be next week).

I am in the same boat as you. I have been on a list (#2) since last June and had my order in the system the 2nd or 3rd day it was possible. The CA I put my deposit with no longer works there but the one that took over for him confirmed I was #2 and that they have yet to get any allocations. I've only ever had my current M2 there to be serviced a few times, never bought a car from them so I don't have much of a history there.

As each allocation drop comes and goes with no allocation my cynicism increases. Most likely it's simply the shitty allocation system being the reason why I/the dealer haven't seen any allocations yet but it still doesn't stop me thinking that there is nothing stopping them from ignoring the list and handing them out as they please. We truly have no way of knowing and just have to hope the dealer is upfront with us.

The whole allocation/car buying process is pretty shit in general. We are at the mercy of the dealer we choose and hoping they get allocations. Then we watch some dealers already have 6+ allocations and people get cars with a fraction of the wait time as others.

Pretty cynical as well since I started the allocation process last May for the then yet to be released Audi RS 3. BTW, my local dealer still hasn't received an allocation. Gladly I pivoted to the M2 as I had given up on the RS 3. Since I've already been burnt once, my patience is already stretched thin. Like others, I am in the Midwest and all but no allocations to date. I really like the M2, so I'm kinda stuck for the long haul, I guess. Not to say that recently I haven't been eyeing the used car market. Just hoping and praying for some good news next week. Everyone, keep up the faith🤞.

It is going to look amazing! I am very excited to see some pictures once it comes in. I have a similar build but with cognac interior and blue calibers that I am up next for an allocation at my dealership.

There is no public publication for allocation numbers. Allocations "drop" (assigned by BMW) to the dealerships usually the last week of the month. Not every dealership gets them for every month (its randomly or otherwise controlled by BMW as to which dealerships get them and how many they get each month).

Allocations are supposed to be assigned to individuals in their submission order in the dealership's Order Bank. Best I can say is ask your CA or sales manager and hope they give you a straightforward answer
