Uh oh. He doesn't really like the manual, though he does say the feeling is better than M3.

Quick, sell your cars and change your orders!

"I think I like the previous M2 more. It had more of a sportscar feel. This one feels more grippier. More aggressive."

I don't know what that means.

I don't know what that means.

I fell asleep watching this review, he was all over the place and sounded contradictory at times. Just my opinion...

I agree. My comment on the video reveals what I really think. A lot of double speak. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

I don't know what that means.

He did the write up a few weeks back. Somehow I managed to not cancel my order, there were a few tough minutes but somehow I found my balls.

Nico DeMattia, maybe he’s looking for a gig with TH?

I gave up my son for adoption so I don’t have to deal with the car seat. That was the right call, yes?

He must have done 2 reviews in his life, and just came from reviewing a Camry.

When he says “it’s not just me saying something” everyone who pay attention to reviews should take a hint: these are all parrots just copying whatever someone else said to sound cool or wise.

“It doesn’t feel as potent as 450 hp would make it sound” hahahaha
The car makes more than 450, and what would 450 be like, then???

He just nails the beginning when he says M cars are daily driven cars. That’s exactly it.

Damn you JustinHEMI I just watched this again and it’s a bunch of gobbledegook. “It revs too high on the highway” “who buys an M2 to drive on the highway” “the steering isn’t as good as the M3” “the steering is better than the M4”. “M cars are great daily drivers” “you don’t buy an M car for a daily driver” For fucks sake, this review is a mess.

People talk about lighter wheels, but selling off family is the greatest weight saver of all. Unfortunately, it's sprung weight.

I almost feel like it was done on purpose to troll this forum, but nah, he really is just making shit up as he goes.

I don't know what that means.

I think he confuses sports car feeling with “thrilling but in a scary way”.

I hate how they say engine isn’t suited for the manual. If it drives great in the auto, then it’s the other way around or they just don’t know how to drive a turbocharged manual. My former base 718 Cayman seems to be similar to what people are complaining about with the M2. You just need to be in the correct gear and keep the turbos spooled. It takes a little more effort initially until you learn where to be RPM/boost wise. Obviously if the M2 manual is getting similar but slightly lower 0-60 times and top speed to the auto, then there’s nothing wrong with it.

I have been finding the weight thing stupid. Granted, the M2/OG M3 cars were supposed to be light and higher HP, but those days are gone with all the safety equipment and higher quality going into vehicles. As a reference, my Targa 4S weighs about the same and has roughly the same amount of power, and although it’s probably the heaviest of the range, no review ever has said it’s slow. As I’ve said many times, these reviewers are just click monsters and not real car people. It’s obvious he took cliff notes from other reviews and smashed them together without making a cogent argument. He should have just used openai and maybe gotten a better article out of it.

Although I didn’t order manual for my M2, the M2 I sat in was a manual and the shift interaction felt fine. It is different compared to my 911 but that doesn’t make it bad. I didn’t think it was rubbery, maybe more like a regular manual Porsche and not a GTS/GT3 shifter which is definitely much tighter and shorter.

I'm on a road trip about to enter the skyline drive with 2800 miles. I still haven't figured out what's wrong with the manual.

Just finished skyline drive, about to enter blue ridge parkway. She did great in the fog and rain.

Still no issues with the manual.

The video is a jumbled mess, but if I squint I think he's really just saying the same stuff everyone else is.

1. Yes yes, the manual is slower than the automatic, but to his credit he also says the manual is just more fun, right at the beginning.

2. Also, yes, the G87 has lost some of the street hoonability of the F87, but in return you get a supremely controlled track weapon that is planted, precise, and predictable.

3. It is more harsh on bad roads than a Lexus, but I think we knew that?

These aren't super crazy takes. But because the video is all jumbled and out of order, I think people are seeing more criticism than is really there.
