Oh man! One of my gripes with the current gen especially CS was how cheap the interior felt for a car of the price. Full leather would be amazing.

I think we're both in the minority on this one. I'm not a fan of how leather gets worn (and how quickly it does). Also, sweat and leather don't mix well.

What a pointless comment. Porsche doesn't offer the Full Bucket Seats on models with rear passenger seats; only on models with rear seat delete.

Some leaked color swatches would of been nice.. 😗

BMW typically name their paint colors after geographic locations, so I assume that what's in the name, not that there is any relevance to its hue.

See post from other thread for ideas of what the color will look like. Looks like it may be similar to what was on the 2002 homage.

That's a silky color, more bordering a baby blueish hue.. It will give the model a vibrant look..

But I'm a BSM kind of guy - it goes with everything..

Why are these even called bucket seats by BMW?

Guess it is along the lines of these brands calling vehicles with 4 doors...coupes.

The bolstering and accommodations for multi-point harness use.

New M Carbon Racing Bucket Seats (for 2dr models without rear seats) will be introduced soon, starting with the M4 CSL.

Remind me, will the CSL production be unit limited or just time limited? Ignore if not decided or leaked by ynguldun.

These seats are significantly lighter, a lot more supportive, accommodate a harness and look bloody spectacular while being comfortable enough for street use. How anyone can complain about them is beyond me, especially when standard M seats are available as standard.

That we can have them with the entry level M car is just awesome and to me completely unexpected since the same seats are offered in the $150k M5 CS.

Definitely a box to tick when speccing a G87.

Is there any info on the weight savings?

Assuming the standard seats are the same as the G8X it’s 21 lbs.
Here’s from the G8X launch information:

Optional M Carbon bucket seats:
Integrated head restraints
Lower seating position than standard M sport seats
Illuminated model badge
CFRP structure and cut-outs in the side bolsters and below head restraint saves 21 lbs.
Enables the use of optional multi-point seat belts

Yeah, I was wondering as well. They do appear to be wider in the M8, at least (and certainly with nicer stitching), though that may be more the camera angle...

bmw is trying too hard
