I find the Genius' to be a friendly bunch, but for being a genius they only know what they can read on their screens and very little else, even things that would seem to be common sense. Its almost like they are college students working a summer job.

At this point you don't need to involve Genius as they will not give you your production date. You need to use the "F12" process to get that.

Why don’t they show the production date on the regular viewable garage page? Because it is so subject to change? Seems if they have it in the code they might as well make it public.

There would be no upside for them to do so. It would just create more questions and at times set expectations that may not be met.

Correction... most people (regular Joan Camry public) aren't following the tracker as closely as everyone on here does.

I just put in my order today and even though I know its not going to move because he bumped my build week back 2 weeks so I can go check out interiors before it spontaneously goes to 150, I've already looked at least 3 times. Most people just buy cars off the lot. Most people are content to drive a Honda Odyssey. A used one...

I have, in fact, looked at production date about 14 times today. The funny thing is it really doesn’t matter. Got a long way to go to come to California. Probably won’t be able to pick it up right when it arrives at dealer.

It’s like checking shipping status on Amazon 50 times when you buy something fun. Just at 8,000 times the cost.

Ordered a BMW X5 40d at the end of February and now have to wait until August until I get it delivered back here in Germany. Coming from a MY20 540d x-drive G31 wagon.

Congrats and welcome! Now you all know how us American feel having to wait for the cars to get here from Germany. I hear they are now offering American Delivery? The opposite of Euro Delivery we used to enjoy so much. I just read about it yesterday.

I'm getting a similar color combo, I think. Marina bay blue with cognac and poplar. I need to stop by the local dealer tonight to see that interior combo in person before my order locks.

Would have LOVED to get MBB but for the diesel it’s a 6,350$ upgrade because for other than the M60i it’s an individual color and that was too steep from my point of view. Haven’t seen the cognac interior in person yet but only in pictures and that was fine by me because the other colors didn’t quite fit my taste (tartufo being too orange-like).
M60i would have been my favorite choice but with about 30-40 thousand miles I drive each year the diesel was the reasonable choice.

The ProdDate data item isn't filled in until you reach Production Begins which should be about two weeks prior to you production date.
