Ugh I hate hearing that, mine is stuck in QC too. I can't get any answers either, the Genius's can't answer anything and the dealership can't get answers either.

If mine keeps getting delayed I will probably cancel and then order a 2023 that will arrive in time for next winter. The M240i is supposed to be my winter car so if it arrives after winter then that doesn't work for me.

Hey Guys please be patient and I know the wait is long but it's worth it. If you cancel orders then the next time you order it will take just as long. I ordered my M5 CS in July and finally I should be getting it end of this month (January). I waited 6 months and that's probably what most people will be waiting for their cars , atleast 4 to 6 months average.

Yes I was stuck in QC for 2 to 3 months , stuck at the port for a month or so. It's happening to everyone and some people get lucky with no problems. Whoever needs to check if they have a recall at the PORT, use this site:

http://bmw-recall-tool.netlify.app

I got lucky on the m240 since a dealer had one for sale under $50k and will be picking that up Monday or Tuesday

Still in ready for transport for me coming in my 3rd week. This car was suppose to be here by early December but now I have no idea. This car was suppose to be my car until the 2023 RS3 comes but at this point the RS3 might come earlier 😂

Same here! Had December delivery expectations.. The scary part is I've checked both altamira and Galveston ports and no vessels are scheduled to arrive / depart other than ones going to Georgia. I've heard getting vessels has been a problem too.

Used car prices are dropping (finally) and if the wait gets to mid Feb, I have half a mind to get a used M2 or supra.

Used prices have gone down? Interesting. I would love an M2 for a bit but I can't justify spending $70j for one with less than 10k miles

Saw a 2021 yesterday for 61.6k with 1k miles. I thought it was a typo. It wasn't! Sold before I could get it. https://www.fieldsbmworlando.com/exotic-used/BMW/2021-BMW-M2-Orlando-For-Sale-4ab4aba30a0e09714338c0b49d6c6fc4.htm

Thank you for the comments. I'm in this for the long haul and have no intentions of canceling the order. Was the 4 - 6 months wait from the time the order was accepted or from when the production started?

Look like the Glovis Cosmos is pulling into Newark. What's usually the turn around from the car making port and delivery?

Same ship pulled into Baltimore on Saturday and my car is now "At The Port" so I'll let you know when it gets delivered to the dealership (and to me, 30 seconds or so later…).

CA thinks it should be there by 1/19 but he hasn't met his "promises" yet…

I called yesterday. I think it may have been an answering service company. The person said he can only relay information from the BMW tracker. So extremely frustrated.
They have a different tracker than the one in the bmw website

Wish my car was making more progress.

Order placed on 11/22 and still no allocation. No VIN or Production # has been assigned. Not sure if I want to keep waiting or not

If you don't have an allocation, you don't really have an order. I would never have bothered with this and would find a dealer with an allocation.

Scheduled for production in Week 3 currently.
My time to wait endlessly has finally arrived. Moved to the dreaded Quality check today (1/17) after sailing pretty smoothly thus far.

Ordered 12/15
Production no 12/19
VIN assigned 12/29
Production began 1/5
Entering assembly line 1/14
Assembly begins 1/17

Just expect 6 months. This is why I always under promise and over deliver. If I tell my client that it will probably take 6-7 months, and it comes in 4 months then I look good.. btw even being a CA I'm still waiting just to get an application for over 2 months now yes even I have to wait

I am mentally prepared that it will be atleast end of March before I can get my hands on it but I see your point.

The only upside in my case that I can think of is that my car is headed to the VPC at the Perf Center via the Charleston POA instead of the Baltimore POA and VPC where the delays have been the highest from reading through several forum (G20, G80, G30 etc) discussions. In the end, it might not really matter where its entered the US.

Its just crazy that you haven't been able to find an allocation even after waiting for 2months.

Is Baltimore the port of entrance for the Mid-Atlantic and New England area? or is there any further north?

edit update, it looks like there's a VDC in New Jersey, I'm guessing that's where my MA destined 240i will go to
