Wonder if they will produce a grille that accommodates the adaptive cruise control module? Anyone hear anything perhaps? I hate to have to DIY a fix, but maybe that's the only option.

Tried placing my order but the website didn’t like my phone number and wouldn’t go on to the next step. I’ll call them tomorry morn and order like I used to back in the 80’s.
Also got the 10% off code. Saves some money for gas |

PayPal didn’t work for me. Just sent me back to pay thru their website and got the same error. I used link. That worked. Now I wait. Gonna do a full detail and ceramic on the M2 this weekend. Trying not to drive much until I get these grills put in…

Outside of the OP, has there been any other reports of issues?
Seems like BMW should have more protection but I also wonder how often this actually becomes an issue. Having had lots of sport bikes over the years with minimal protection for cooling, I’ve never experienced anything close to this. That might be a terrible example, but it’s hard to believe BMW would leave people exposed if it was going to be such a prevalent issue |

The only other problems that I have heard of have been from G80/82 radiators and lower oil coolers, and they are pretty numerous. An M4 came into my dealership after taking a rock to the oil cooler. It drained the oil so fast that by the time the owner knew there was a problem and pulled off the road it blew the engine. That was an insurance claim. I also heard of one M4 owner that pulled too far up on a curb and punctured the oil cooler. |

Detailed my G87 this morning and saw I had nearly lost the transmission cooler. There was a deep round dent on the right side about the size of a marble and one about half that size on the left. The right dent is so large and deep I am stunned there is no leak. Just a matter of time until something worse happens.

Did yours not come with the factory installed plastic grille on the rads? Did the rock break the plastic and puncture the rad? |

Mine is the auto and the transmission cooler is mounted in front of the main radiator/exchanger just above the oil cooler. There is no protection on it all. They apparently only use the plastic grid on the manual transmission cars. Anyone know how long until the transmission is toast after the cooler gets popped?
