I just don't see any scenario where they manufacture new headlights for the M2 seeing they don't even do it for their most expensive models. Even at an angle those bumpers simply won't work with the new 2 series headlight. This could be a prototype before the final 2 series design was settled on.

'M Technology Pack £300 (ONLY AVAILABLE WITH ADDITIONAL OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT) The increased heat capacity of the braking and cooling systems guarantee a long-lasting high performance under extreme driving conditions (similar to motorsport) (especially in conjunction with high outside temperatures). The M Technology Pack includes upgrades for the drive train cooling system and the M Sport brakes. Also features vehicle-specific high performance tyres on exclusive rims in a wide design as well as wheel arch extensions in the body colour.' The main difference M2 would have over m240i I could for-see is: the engine and additional chassis braces. I expect the 0-60 to be very close with RWD M2 (current xdrive m240i faster than the current M2C to 0-60). However if the new M2 has m xdrive like M4/M5, then that would be a game changer

That's true. However, BMW could certainly break that tradition. The E9X M3 never received the E92 LCI headlights, but then the F8X M3 received the F32 LCI headlights.

Yeah but it's the same headlight as on the 4er and M4 so it's not a "new" light.

I highly doubt it's a prototype, as the final design is settled years prior to final validation stage which is now the prototype test drives for the next year through out the world. BMW's designers are already working on the 2 series LCI now.

Totally on board if it looks anything like this, and would be happy to have it as a successor to my F87…assuming it retains a similar fun factor.

Good evening my friend.
Yes, the bumper is a bit strange, but I will tell you something, it gives you the impression that it bites a little if you observe it better, the bumper from the M3 E30. For me it is very good, really, if the bumper really comes out like that, it is very good and I like it. It remains to be seen, what the hidden photos in the streets will show us .... |
