Perfect drop!

Car looks so good in black too. Going to shoot them an email and ask if it’ll be under the same part #.

BMW has cut so many corners lately that at this point I trust H&R and KW. Two giants in the suspension world will do their due diligence. If they come back and tell me it’s the same product, great, but I think they’ll come back with some tweaks.
It’s ultimately your car and your money. The only thing that I can tell you is that after driving vigorously for the last 1200 miles, there’s nothing detrimental that I can identify about the handling characteristics of the M HAS setup at the limits of public roads - and I live in the Rocky Mountains. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

By no means do I think the MPerformance HAS kit isn't great. I'm sure it's fantastic. I just want a company that specializes in suspension to tell me it's either interchangeable between all G8x models, or needs some fine tuning specific to the G87. I don't trust BMW to make that judgement.

I'm worried that a company like KW also has no incentive to differentiate the set up for the G87. This is the reason I am on the fence about getting a HAS kit put on right now. Regardless, I am not sure I'd even be able to tell the difference between a properly tuned kit and not.

I've spoken to both KW and H&R and they both mentioned they're in testing (and H&R is done)...so at least there's that. I'm in no real hurry so I'm going to wait the extra couple of months.

This right here. I’ve been driving my car like a tweaked out Felon and I can’t find fault with the handling or ride in any setting. Granted I haven’t been to the track yet, but I’ll bump up against my limitations before the M2’s. I don’t know your use case so YMMV.

AND, my car has yet to fully vetted as dropped and aligned properly.

H&R confirmed that it indeed will be the same kit as the G80.

I'd wait for others then. As I've been saying, I'm willing to wait out until the winter to see what everyone else does. Interested in what Dinan does.

Hopefully I’ll have an answer from KW tomorrow. If it’s the same I’ll be orderling shortly.

Considering that KW already offers V3 and V4 for the M2 with the same code as the M3/4, and that their HAS for the M3/4 xDrive are the same as the 2WD despite the different OEM parts, I begin to doubt their specific development programs. Nothing different from MP HAS then.

For the G80 most guys went H&R sport and super sport. Not too many have gone that route for our car yet. There was a BSM floating around here.

For sure. I just want confirmation since they’ve said they’re currently in testing. Seeing as H&R just did, I’m sure KW will too.

Surprised the KW doesn't go down further. I feel like this is the reason the G80 kit doesn't make sense for the G87. The G80 (especially the rear), barely needs to be lowered while the M2 has a valley of room to play with.

Dropping off my car for its break in service today. The dealership is also going to install the OEM HAS kit. I'm going to request that they lower it all the way down.

Is there ant info you guys would like me to try to get while I'm going through this process?

G80:
1.4-1.75 front

I think they just cut corners and decided not to develop something specific for the G87. Unless I’m missing something (like the bottom of the car gets much lower in the G87 so you can’t really lower it more, or something)
Didn't even catch they updated it on their site.

Yeah that doesn't make sense. Everyone is taking shortcuts.

I just had to get my one petty comment in. Lol. Hopefully you still find something that suits your needs.

I’ll likely be going KW HAS.

They haven’t confirmed they’ll be using the exact same kit but it’s looking that way.

Makes me wonder if a HAS kit is even worth it since everyone is just slamming theirs.
