So I just had a play on U.K. configurator and I gotta say BMW UK sucks…

Removed carbon roof (which was standard now it’s an option)
No sliver wheels as an option
Also there are colours missing as well e.g. Voodoo blue, Java green, twilight purple and that grey.

I also notice this on a few other updated configurators for the BMW M cars the colours their advertising you can’t spec…

Honestly never thought BMW UK would be nearly as bad as Mercedes UK cause with merc you can’t even spec anything.

Ordered mine this morning. You can get the individual colours on the backend BMW system.

All in, the price increase for my spec was £2765. However, as I placed a deposit a few weeks ago they will honour the original price. Roll on November(ish) time.

As an aside, the update is officially known as the G87 M2 LCI.

I was on the configurator too as I'm looking to potentially move up from my M240iX. I'm not too fussed about the loss of carbon fibre and would even consider a sunroof, as I have one on the G42, but sacrilege I know.

Did you order one of the new individual colours? If so what is the UK RRP on them? I'm tempted by Twilight Purple as I have Thundernight and love it.

Whilst I actually really love some of the individual colours, I just don’t have the stones to order them! I went with Brooklyn Grey with Black wheels. From memory I think the new individual colours were about £3300.

There needs to be more cars with alloy wheels. Too much black wheels.

I don't blame you as without seeing Twilight Purple in the flesh I'm not sure I would go with it and especially not for £3K odd. I will probably wait and see what's on the nearly new market when my G42 approaches being 3 years old early next year. I suspect there might be a fair few Skyscraper Grey MY25 M2's to choose from although I wouldn't mind Fire Red also.

I think they tend to work better on brighter colour cars. had gunmetal wheels with Misano Blue but don't think I want to go back to black wheels again. They don't pop as much under the sun.

I've noticed that they've removed Toronto Red from the standard paint selection and also now charge extra for ZBlue! edit: can't remember if it was a costed option previously actually. Sunroof now available in the UK. Those new centre vents are horrible.

Can’t justify extra cost for a minor hp and torque bump, £199 to trade in my old M235i tuning box and I’ll gain extra 100hp and 100nm torque… so I feel solid in my purchase.
I feel exactly the same way as you mate, my car is due very soon. For fun I went on the UK configurator and the same spec as mine came out at very nearly £72K😲
What colour did you go for?

Brooklyn grey. Comfort pack and Driving assistant. Taking mine for Xpel Plus, track pack, I’m hoping any paint correction would be included in the price tbh.

Sadly not, the condition new BMW’s get delivered from factory is appalling, I’m not even letting the dealer clean it or remove wrapping, straight to the detailer for a week. Placed order in February and still won’t arrive till end of the month.

I got bi-colour alloys, comfort pack and drive assistant, red calipers and the black leather with red/blue accents

Hmm. Has BMW ever done a power bump like this on the same model and same motor before? I can live with all the other new features, colors and all but the power bump and the "advances in accelerator mapping available in all drive modes" is frustrating. I sold my previous M240i as I wanted to get the best that BMW could offer for performance in the 2 series so got the G87 with the S58 motor.
I really hope BMW will offer an option to update the tune for the 23 and 24 models.

Is the video working for everyone? Wondering if it’s geolocked or something cause I’m in Croatia right now and the video says it’s private and won’t play (but not the typical “not available in your region” error message)

That’s when you just go for the aftermarket piggyback or tune…

I wouldn't say no to more power but my '24 is a rocketship as is. Not tempted to trade-in for a '25 but I could see maybe doing it for a legit facelift/competition model in '26 or '27

yeah my frozen portimao was delivered with water spots that were a pain in the ass to get off, still not sure how much of it was during transport or after delivery to the dealer, they might've parked it near other ones being washed and it caught collateral spray but man was it annoying.

Yes i will do that assuming BMW will not be offering the upgraded tune for my 2024. I still hate it though.

I'm in Switzerland and the video doesn't work here anymore either (I was able to watch it this morning).
