This is the most baffling thing about this car lol. Never thought that was possible. If the real thing looks like these photos, there's no way I will get one. G8X, grills be damned looks immensely better than this caricature of a car.

It's sad what bmw is doing and offering to its customers. It's really sad the decisions made in terms of design. Theoretically this car would have ideas taken from the 2002 homage, but they didn't even do that car justice, nor the M story. Even the side air intakes were lost. It's ridiculous and offensive.
I think these photos are real from the final product. We also didn't believe in the first leaked photos of the G80..

True, but only a small percentage can live with a Cayman as their sole vehicle. It is just a far less usable vehicle; even less so than my 992.

Dare I say, I like it. The rear is the elephant in the room. Are we pretending the rear on the f87 was great in comparison to its bigger brothers? The rear on the 2 series has always been the worse looking part of the original m2 - it’s one of the reasons I sold my m2 cs. Plus that photo is terrible angle.

I’m not excusing Bmw - but brands need to adapt and change otherwise they might as well have just kept making the f8x series until electrification based on the responses

As a former F87 owner I agree the rear was the worst part of the car. I'm reserving judgement on this one until I see it. I do dislike those taillights regardless of how the rest of the car looks.
