What year 340? They've got the new 2 roughly the same width as the last 4 series and now like 9 inches shorter. That's a HUGE increase in size. If it comes with more tech and whatnot...that stuff adds pounds.

Fair enough, I just can't say that I've seen more than 2-3 Supras since launch. They don't seem common at all. I've seen way more new vettes for example.

Couldn't agree more. Tails feel like E90 chicklets to me.

Anyways, I like it, and I'm excited for the next M2 CS. Looks like my next round of cars might be X5 + M2.
Overall the e90 M3 is 180 inches in length, and 71 inches width.. literally identical to this m240i…. Crazy

Looks like it'll be a lot nicer to be inside of than even the current M2.

I'm not sold on some of the styling. The side profiles look really bland. I'm confused why the M240i gets "M-Winglet" mirrors and a power dome hood too. Not reserved for true M-cars anymore?

230i gained 134lbs and M240i xDrive gained 209lbs.

For me once again, none of the lines on the car seem to flow - seems to be a common theme with the G series cars. The front doors look like they were taken off another car and just slapped on for example, it just ends weird.

At least the 3.0 is still around 😄
Looks to me like a nod to the boxy fenders of the e30

Well yeah. The Corvette sold 21k units in the US last year, more than all but the 3er, 5er, X3 and X5. The C8 nearly outsold the entire MINI brand.

They sold 11,239 Mk4 Supras over six years.

For fun on track you be better off with a cayman GT4

Or cheaper coupe option Toyota GR86 1270kg and 230hp. 6 speed manual and a proper handbrake. Smaller package i think great trackcar.

The new M2 will be a heavy pig a nice daily car but no track car with 1700kg on the scales. Nice boulevard cruiser.

Hard to complain about a car with fender flares and a hood bump in the base model. And proportions like this.

now that press release is out and the official availability is November.

When can we expect to have the online configurator available or being able to place an order, even if it is for november?

You're right but your F87 was already a porker, it sure was no light weight. BMW and light weight is no longer synonymous and that didn't start with the G-series cars.

I have said time and time again, for lightweight RWD, Manual, non Porsche budget, all we have is FRS/BRZ/Miata in the USA.

If you look up the dimension sheets they're identical. Disregard that this is an M3 instead of 3 series. Photo is for length and wheelbase purposes

I like it. Rear end looks a bit weird but considering how the G80/G82 looks, this is a huge win. Interior is a big upgrade and finally, the hud!

I like it and also don't like it.
It looks kiddish and I hope they fix some of the elements by the time the LCI M2C is released.

That's what I'm worried about.

"+1 lb-ft over F22 M240i."

Someone's gonna have to explain this to me because I'm lost.

Yeah it's kind of like the Audi A3. I'd buy one for my kid and he'd love it.

You wouldn't catch me in one though. A younger me would be ALL about it. Looks kind of anime-speed-racer cartoonish. And with the hood and mirrors they added some very low-cost M-Flash.

BMW cost cutting already starting to show

First time in a while again that i liked a new BMW. Just not sold on that triangle in the front.
Maybe weight is intentional, so when they make an M2 CSL at 3500lbs, they can call it lightweight!
