Porsche cars were transported in enclosed car haulers.

The lower car is light, I couldn't tell if it was AW or ZB, until Rx-7ames posted there are no AW HEA cars, so it has to be ZB, looks like you weren't kidding about how light the shade is.

They still are. The vast majority of them arrive via Reliable carriers at our sister store. Porsche continues to protectively cover all their vehicles as well.

Note, all BMW carriers are sublet. They are also not contracted carriers either.

I have been trying my hardest to get this message through since October 15, 2022.

Finally! I'm guessing one of those photographed was my car yesterday on the carrier.

The photographed carrier was traveling on I-95 S in South Carolina.

There were HEA G87s that were offloaded at the New Jersey port and are now in transit to the Brunswick, Georgia VPC. I know, it is strange, but as I have previously mentioned Brunswick seems to bottleneck more often than not anymore.

Had no idea but that sounded really weird about traveling south on I95 - I guess that's the answer.

Maybe they’re dropping one off at the PC. I sure hope they have one when I get there for Delivery. They got an i4 the day before I got there last August. Told me on the phone that I’d be driving an ICE 4-series because they hadn’t gotten any i4’s yet, so it seems they weren’t even expecting it or the communication was just poor.

HEA cars are not eligible for PCD.

Yes, I’m clear on that. I was talking about the PC getting one of them, not a customer delivery.

That will not happen for a while. Furthermore, that is not how BMW logistics works for the PC.

Just have my fingers crossed they have one by early June. They certainly don’t observe Break-ins on the cars I’ve driven there, so I’m looking forward to pushing their M2.

Total guesstimate, but I suspect it will be late summer early fall before they have G87s for use. They have to have like 8-10+.

FYI, each and every performance center vehicle is properly broken-in prior to being placed into PC customer use. Every vehicle is pulled out of service after XXXX miles, fully serviced, recondition and then sold to BMW Centers via the BMW auctions.

That’s what I thought too but I drove their one and only i4 M50 last August when I was there picking up my i4. I was the first customer to drive it. Only had 50 miles on it.

Not always as I have stated. I’m sure that’s the policy, but not always followed.

Okay… I personally know four instructors there. I also know the head of consumer PCD.

They’re instructors, not in charge of the cars or the PC. I know two of them and three of the Riders Academy instructors, great people, I’m not speaking against their character, just relating my personal experience with the i4 M50 last August.

It’s much much less, 300 miles, mainly for the tires and breaks, also no Launch Control (whoops). So I’m sure that’s why they weren’t strict on the miles. No engine to damage, who cares about tires and breaks.
