My 1996 Honda Civic build

So I finished the 5 speed swap. Cleaned the engine up a bit more and installed the radiator. Waiting on a few more bits from Honda and the engine will go in.

Full Race GT35R 14.5psi
K20A2 tranny
Tan to Type-R Black interior
K-Teller 3" SS exhaust to Apexi-N1 (fart can)

Was NA when I got home from work on Friday and boosted for Monday drive in. Feed/return/fittings/injector wiring/oil pan..."good times" lol

Edit: remember the fist time I got pulled over and nearly got arrested.

Police: Sir the VIN plate is missing, and it shows you should have tan interior.
Me: I swapped the interior
Police: Nobody does that, please step out
Me: Showed him 1 trim piece that was arriving in the mail that was still tan
Police: WTF lol

I just picked up some blue dc5 recaro seats over the weekend too.

Is that. Real Magen kit?

Yeah, I was on the fence, so I sourced Blue and Red carpet. No, it was a replica...couldnt see dropping that kind of coin on authenticate Mugen. Went with RSX Base cloth seats...sooo much more comfy than Bride or leather OEM seats.

Mugen is crazy expensive. I don't like any of their stuff for the EK chassis

Love this build! I had a 1993 Civic CX hatch that i brought back from the dead in 2012 (welded in new fenders, and fixed all the other rust rot, new suspension etc...) and finally got it running great, only to have Hurricane Sandy knock a tree onto it. Would love to build another hatch! Keep it up!

Yay for progress!

Although I will ask, I usually like to protect the radiator as much as possible, so why not leave it out until everything else is installed, or tape some cardboard over the exposed side?

Honestly I didn't even think about that until
After it was in. It could've turned out bad and probably made the install a bit easier

Things have been slowing down as I try to find a painter.

I recently removed the old 25 year old sound deadening. Also picked up my door panels from
The interior shop.

Also I picked up another set of mirrors. I have 3 now. Stock CTR. M factory carbon, and spoon replica mirrors. I will say, the spoon replica mirrors are the only fake or knockoff part- I honestly can't see my selF paying $900 for mirrors.

Almost forgot about this thread!

Made lots of progress. Found a painter that I trust (I think) so now it's on the ground and going to the paint shop in two weeks. I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

Got some more suspension goods in, and the headlight tucked harness came in.
