One thing we know, the fangs on the front bumper flow the wrong way for an M vehicle.

You all getting bent outta shape over a terrible render lol. This render is way too soft and rounded compared to the test mules which show it having more of a box flare look to the fenders, somewhat similar to the E30. I personally think the G87 will be one of the few designs they actually get right (somewhat normal sized grill, hoffmeister, single shoulder line running across entire car, wide fender arches).

Overall, looks good besides the headlights. I'm sure there will be several changes in the production release.

I will start inquiring when I can put down a deposit on the G87 CS, unless they switch to the big grille or exclude the 6MT, which I doubt.

Talk about trying to get ahead of the game. It'll be 2025 before we see a CS, at least .

I honestly hope for all the BMW enthusiasts out there that want a driver car that this car slaps. It's quite literally BMWs last opportunity in the ICE era, I feel they are going to get it right.. go out with a bang, basically.

I'd love a stablemate with my f87 cs but seems like a ton of overlap so we'll wait n see

Fix here implies I corrected it. The original render lower front opening was upside down for an M car, it wasn't accurate. Does correcting something improve it? That's up to you I guess.

Adding one more wheel design to renders. Personally like the 825M wheels the best.

It kinda looks like a Subaru BRZ…

Although I like it other than the headlights being nothing like the classic double angel eyes.

Can someone Photoshop the grill from the BMW Vision M NEXT Concept into the M2 render and current M3/M4? I would of preferred this concept grill design than the current M3/M4 grill.

That's because they're even more classic 2002 inspired…

Actually that's a fair point. I don't know when the double lights started, but it was after the 2002's.

It’s interesting that Porsche can continuing selling the 911, which has changed quite a bit over 50+ years of existence, but all the changes are evolutionary. And the 911 doesn’t sell in incredible numbers over the years, either. Even the Boxster and Cayman have changed in an evolutionary way, although they have been around for a much shorter time.

Compare that to BMW, which does evolve some designs (E21 to E30, E36 to E46, E34-E39, etc.). But between those evolutions, sometimes major changes take place, such as the Bangle butt, the current gigantic grilles (7-series, X7, G80, etc), and the new taillight designs, that seem to propagate across the model lines, in the interest of refreshing the products, and perhaps attracting new buyers. For the earlier generations, the major changes were generally well accepted from the beginning. I’m just not a fan of the current trend in styling for BMW.

Personally, as a BMW owner since 1988, I believe that if they are willing to continue selling so many different car and SAV models, perhaps they should maintain a line of ‘classic’ BMWs that retain evolutionary looks that have long time appeal, and then another line of trendier styles, so they can continue to appeal to their long time customers as well as attract a new audience.

An example: the previous 3-series (F30) and 4-series grande coupe (F36). Both were four door vehicles, and I gotta believe that BMW designers produced both, with the intention to be the next generation 3-series. But the decision makers liked them both, so rather than choose one design and dump the other, they decided to sell them both.

Obviously it wouldn’t make sense to sell a ‘classic’ and a ‘trendy’ version of every model, but the bread and butter models (3-series, X3, X5) maybe it would be possible.

That won't happen. I wish it did but BMW cannot get their heads out of their asses. I hope they lose a very good chunk of revenue due to these KIA designs.

Perfect. I want one like this.

But the reality is the rear will be more awkward, the front completely wrong, it will have more bizarre slashes and bulges everywhere, and that the Competition and CS versions will be ZF auto only.

And some high falutin mega pay BMW designer will come out in sneakers and jacket and “explain” this incredible design to the unwashed masses and why we should adore it.

The only hope is that due to the smaller size it won’t be viewed as prestigious in Asia so maybe they won’t style it for that market.

Fingers are crossed that it would look like this. It kinda resembles a 911 towards the rear!

I just wish the 230 would start at 300 HP

Now a 230 that looks like that, with that many horses as an entry level would sell like hot cakes.

Btw, what does sell like hot cakes even mean, lol??

Stems from 1800's bake sales. We should switch it up, because hot cakes haven't sold like hot cakes for some time now.

GPU's, Pokemon cards, a G8x front end fix... just a few ideas that came to mind.
