Hard to tell, but looks like this car doesn't have the carbon roof…fingers crossed it'll be a no cost option

Color doesn't seem to match the roof so this could be the CF. That being said I imagine they'll charge us for it.

Would it kill BMW to do a real vent like the 1M? Just put some shitty stick-on horizontal reflectors that we can all remove like E92 M3. I prefer the way the reflectors are done M240i to this black surround that draws your eye to them.

There will be fans that will really like the car; and it will have some traits where it will obviously outshine past versions. When I look at it though, everything is discombobulated. It lacks a flow. You almost have to compartmentalize the car when you look at it. Also, if the M240i dimensions carryover, the elongated hood that comes at the expense of a usable backseat is interesting. They should have made it a true two seater and been done with it. Of course I am incredibly biased - but love all the flowing curves of my Comp that are mixed with a few simple lines. Maybe the LCI or Comp version of the G87 can change my tune, but I think I am going to ride it out with the F87. I'll be happy for those that think otherwise.

Not sure I agree, as much as I love the f87, its side profile looks terrible when compared to the new g87. Awkward dimensions.

Love the look of the rear end, coming from American muscle cars wide hips have never bothered me . That Being said the first aftermarket company to come out with new euro or tinted taillights for the American market are gonna make a killing.

On the other hand, what's wrong with RWD? The M3 competition I drove a year back was perfectly fine with RWD.
I absolutely love RWD

But people with wet climates need xDrive

Well you happen to pick the worst color for an example on the M240 in the Photo

The G has got a huge nose

I didn't notice until you pointed it out. I can't say it changes anything for me personally. That bottom area seems off for whatever reason. It reminds me of a Lego building block the way that section pops out by the reflector. The reflector itself is oddly designed with the aero underneath. I think they tried too hard and ruined the simplistic look of the 1M and old M2 rear end.

I wish they made the tails more like smaller versions of the 3 and the front as well. I can't get past the weird looks but it's going to be a beast looks aside

M Zandvoort Blau (Uni) (BMW paint code C6E).

AFAIK on the BMW 2002 Hommage Concept (2016) (see here and here) the body color was apparently coined "Space Race Metal".

I was hoping they'd un-Japan the tail lights, and I don't love these "stick on" looking diffusers, but overall this is a lot more promising than the G8x.

Pretty good odds G87 CS will be my next jump after the M3 CS. (Unless BMW gets it together and puts the S58 and a manual in the Z4 LCI).
