Since this thread came back up and picking up car on Friday - 40!

My midlife crisis has been putting myself first, but mostly health related. Loosing weight and building strength to have a long active life. The car is basically a hobby to have something fun and social in my life.

I will say that some of these posts make me feel super financially conservative, my wife and I shared a car for 8 years and will only take on one car payment at a time. That combined with no kids and small house and mortgage should mean no problem buying a G87, but man I suck and spending money. I am so anxious!

Ha, I am in the same boat. I just turned 47 and want a fun car but since we are paying off my wife's car, I do not feel comfortable making two car payments along with our mortgage. So, I will wait till I am 50 (saving along with way) and then I will see what is out there. Maybe a higher end G87 will be available?

30 here. replacing my daily driver with the G87. i struck out on GRC circuit edition and FL5 CTR, and was dead set on a stick 4 seater. so clearly the only option was to make the numbers work on a low option G87

45. I’ve talked myself out of so many car purchases over the years telling myself I need to be practical.

Age is making me realize that if I keep pretending there is some magical date in the future where it will be ok to focus on pleasure…I’ll probably never get there.

This is an awesome thread! I love reading the different situations and stories! I’m 27, and I’m expecting delivery of my first M car hopefully by December. I ordered her in Toronto Red Metallic, with black rims and a couple of port installed items.

I currently own a Brooklyn Grey 230i (2022) and I’m adding the older brother (G87) to the fleet!

Had a 2002 S2000 that got me in trouble, had a kid, sold it.
Wanted something to resemble the S2000 with back seats, so got a 135i.
Traded in the 135i for this G87 and couldn't be happier!
