Wheels and carbon ducts only.
BMW, burn everything else - and fire the design team while you're at it. I would love to see what demographic they think they are going after with this stuff? Maybe it would have worked in early 2000's Fast and Furious movie era, but for a $70k car, these pricey accessories are going to be out of budget for most of the younger generation. So what kind of adults are looking to buy this stuff? As someone who develops consumer goods myself, I would love to know, it boggles my mind. I hope the metrics BMW gets from total failure and lack of sales of this stuff doesn't fall on deaf ears and they make some serious changes. |

Nailed it! The front and wheels are decent but the rest looks ghetto as hell.

A few thoughts. First off, the black accents I think help make the car stand out some. The M3/M4 have some side vents with the logo and a few other details that make it stand out from the basic 3 series/4 series. I feel as it they are waiting to add the comp details later for more "flair" as to say. The M240i has the bottom side skirts and rear diffuser in black and its unusual but this one with a solid color with no carbon roof looks bland to me.

I feel they’re directing this stuff to an age group that is not going to have this car in their sights because of the price. 70-90k is a lot of money for a car. |

Died with the last of the hooydonk design era. A thoughtful designer who aimed for a timeless profile. Minimalism and driver focused with functional design. The new designer, a younger guy with attitude, can barely answer questions about why he put things where he did. He emphasised product design over functional design. It's the end of an era.

This is what an M2 should look like. I'm sorry, they totally ruined the M2 and it's a damned shame.

I quite like the G87 design, keep in mind this is just a demo car to show ALL the available add ons (yes some are bad).
With the right spec & some aftermarket components (once available) im sure this car can look great. Am i ordering one…no im not but my reasons are more to do with the transmission, dash, ebrake & continual size increase, not because of the styling. Its still the best new BMW currently available to enthusiasts imo & once the upgraded editions arrive im sure it will be even more desirable.

It's almost comical how bad the m perf stuff looks. I do like the base car though.

Love the wheels and don't hate the wing. All of the other performance parts are pretty bad.
I think an m2 in white or black with just the gold wheels and a drop will look really good. |

Honestly the rear (not the roof, yuck) spoiler could look nice with some tweaks. If they pushed it back a few inches, adjusted the angle so that it flowed from the taillights more, and painted it in the body color... it might work.
Reminds me of a more tame version of the Integra/RSX type R spoilers. |
