My daily sits out in the sun every day and is used to haul mountain bikes around, so no point in getting anything nice - 2014 V6 Accord. Rock solid reliability and parts are dirt cheap
Daily driving and/or running errands with a $70k car is silly to me but whatever |

This will be my first true daily M car. I've had three i3s in a row I used to commute with while driving a F80 M3, F80 M3 CS, then an G82 M4 on the weekends/track days. We always have an SUV for my wife, and I have my old Honda Civic as backup.
I started to work from home and the i3 just didn't make sense anymore without a commute, so I swapped it out for a manual MK 7.5 GTI to pair with my G82 M4. I figure might as well have a fun daily that I could ALSO track! Two track toys, nothing better than that! Unfortunately the GTI didn't last because it was a disaster. Thats the last time I buy from Carvana. So up until a few months ago I had a G82, an SUV an a Civic. I barely drive on the weekdays, and when I do, do I really want to drive an old Honda Civic? I always seemed to grab the G82 keys. So when time came to trade the G82 for a G87, I speced it as a daily I could still take to the track. This is my first M car with Adaptive Cruise Control for the rare times I have to drive downtown for meetings. The Civic will be going to my soon to be driving teenager. So far, I'm loving doing errands and stuff in it. It's not too flashy to daily, and it's still a blast to drive. I still yearn for a X3M as a a daily though. I think if I ever stop tracking my cars, I'll pick up a used X3M and keep it for life.

Mine will fall into rotation with our 740 and our Ridgeline. We only drive a total of about 10k a year between us so each car will only get 3-4k of use each year. Driving the M2 more frequently now to get break in done.

I just ordered a 25 6MT M2 to replace my 2020 VW tiguan as my daily. I miss driving a high performance car daily and especially a manual. I have a fully refreshed 2003 nissan 350z with a built motor, twin turbo 350z on flex fuel for my weekend fun car. My real weekend fun vehicles are my 22 Aprilia RS660 and my 24 Panigale V4S if you want to truly go fast.

No. It sits in the garage on summer tires all winter. I will take it out if it’s clear, dry and 40 degrees at least. I would totally get winter tires and daily it if I didn’t have other winter cars though.

Feel blessed to live in a climate that you never have to worry about driving in year round or changing tires with a season. Ya it gets hot 3 months of the year but still doesn't prevent the fun. The other 9 months are beautiful/boostiful.

Daily mine. About 10k miles put on in the 11 months I've had the car.
Didn't go out on the roads when it was cold WITH precipitation. When it's been cold and dry, I can still go where I need to go for work, which is less of a problem on the summer tires. |
