Yes; I'm allocated for a 2025 - initial order was 2024 with cognac interior (black exterior) and now I'll have to change my color combination because of this. Last 3 cars plus my current car had/have black interiors and I was real looking forward to cognac. That it's been eliminated for 2025 sucks - three black interior and no other.

They will come, but won't be full individual from what I know.

Love the Sao Paulo Yellow addition! Bright colors definitely jive with the wild muscular bulges of the G87. Disappointed to see Toronto Red and the Cognac interior disappear though.

I wonder what the black w/ red interior will look like? I’m imagining the blue of the M highlights replaced with red which my minds-eye seems a bit wierd. Hopefully the seats will have larger patches of red

Anyway, I think that the M2 would benefit from a bolder color palate in general. Obviously I’m just dreaming, but would love to see Miami Blue, Java Green and Fire Orange. As for interiors, Kyalami Orange, Fiona Red and Silverstone.

2025 options, think I’d go with ZB on black w/ blue stitching.

What about you?

BMW needs to bring British Racing Green, Atacama Yellow, and Laguna Seca Blue to the new M2. My Atacama M3 for reference. I think this is the most beautiful yellow bmw ever produced.

A bit underwhelming given a post I saw that mentioned voodoo blue and Java green and twilight purple coming for 2025.

Granted I’m not really in the market but replacing a bright red with another red and then adding another silver/grey just feels too similar. At least there’s another blue in addition to ZB though.

at first i liked the idea of it, but this kinda looks weird on this car

jury's still out, i felt the same way about ZB when it first launched and after i saw the color chip and later the car in person i really liked it, so who knows

am sad about the loss of the Cognac though, i liked how Cognac would look on Skyscraper :/

Here's what the red highlight on M seats look on the 4er from the German configurator:

Note the small red strips in the blurred G87 photo from Tag and how the 4er has it as the underside of the door handle - by the looks of it, M2 will get black door cards all around (the red dots look to be for the red in the seat bases).

Hard to pick out if the sides of the armrest in the scrambled photo. I asked GPT to unscramble it and it is nothing like the M2

BMW intentionally pixelates their images on the backend prior to reveal. I posted them as a visual reference only. I did the same thing prior to BMW officially debuting the G87 as you can see here and here.

Tag do you know if the steering wheel changes to the LCI G8x with the red strip at 12 o clock? I guess, on the '25 options list, is there a provision for the alcantara wheel?

On the pixellated it seems like there is a red pixel on the wheel and I'd expect the change since everything else has moved to this new style wheel.

I'm saying its their highest product line. No car that starts with the letter M and only has 1 number afterwards ( M2 , M3 , M4 , M8 ) should have any cut safety features in my opinion

I think it's stupid too but with what you get for the money with the M2, I'm sure this is just BMW's way to differentiate the M2 and M4 otherwise the M4 would be a bad value. If you had a full merino option and ventilated seats in the M2, what purpose does the M4 serve? Roomier backseats for an extra $30K?

You never know, they could add some features back in. I think the leather quality differences are fine. BMW doesn't give you good options in the Z4 either. The only option I wish the M2 had was surround view. Well, that and xDrive which it might be getting in a few years anyway (and if that happens I'll be putting my order in).
This pretty much what I've been trying to say. If you want to differentiate the M2 and M4.

Lower quality leather
No carbon seats, roof
No Xdrive
Less HP
Etc

Removing the front camera ( a safety feature ) and offering less colors is NOT the way in my opinion. Especially when lower teirs of 2 series cars have those options......wtf

OK, consider it thoroughly, adequately voiced, and we will assume you are not buying an M2.

The M boss at the time saw the opportunity, and between customer demand for a smaller & cheaper M car and the existing 1 series, the 1M Coupe was born. If I remember correctly it was only offered in 3 colors (black, white, and orange) and 2 interiors (both black with either blue or orange stitching). It didn’t get an “M engine” and borrowed the turbo 6 from the 35is range. It did get a wider track, suspension bits, brakes, etc from the M3, along with a required 6-speed manual. The intent was to have an entry level M model that could be fun while still being affordable.

The first M2 kept that idea going, initially with a non-M engine as well, and received more options and better hardware as the years went on. The latest M2 is the best equipped model in this lineage to date. It does still have its roots in the parts bin, which is honestly a good thing since the parts in that bin are pretty darn good. You can’t get any color you want, and you don’t get some of the goodies from other models. You do pay less though.

No 360 camera is admittedly whack but it is what it is
OG had a special version of the N55 with M3/4 internals, built by ///M

Just so you can have your facts straight
