Yeah really I just meant there were cars I personally would rather have, not that there is anything objectively better at that price point. It's also going to depend a lot on if someone is ok with used cars or would only look at new cars. If we are only talking new cars then there isn't much I would take over an M2 for under $100k.

No version of 718 is a better option. I surely don't need a label to say a drive a Por-sha...

If the G82 had a better front-end on it, that'd be my next hop before Porsche territory. And with a minimum Turbo S requirement there, off the table.

in the 6 speed premium compact sedan arena, you have 3 options. ITS, CT4 BW, M2. you could have 250k to spend and those are still your only three options. give up any one of the requirements (6 speed, premium, compact, or sedan) and your options open up.

INB4 "the M2 is not a sedan!!!!". yes it is. 3 box design, 4 adult sized seats. cargo area separated from the passenger area

I added MP HAS to my order yesterday. How long does it take usually take BMW to update the order?

Update: Apparently not that long. HAS is now showing up under Added
Options as Performance Suspension. Took a little more than a day.

Kia defines their sedans has having 4 doors. "A sedan is defined as a 4-door passenger car with a trunk that is separate from the passengers with a three-box body: the engine, the area for passengers, and the trunk. Throughout the generations, the definition of a sedan has been the same."

Not to continue beating this dead horse but no cognac is really the biggest buzzkill. So many unique possibilities are dead. My dream spec Twilight/Cognac, Voodoo/Cognac, hell-- Java over cognac would have been sick.

Regardless, here is my spec:
https://www.bmwusa.com/build-your-ow...fiokm5/summary

Twilight over Black, black wheels, carbon roof and trim, lighting pack, live cock-pit pro, and heated wheel/remote start. $74k after destination and handling.

Cognac would have made it a sure lock, but now im on the fence between just keep my individual F80 I picked up a few months back in a similar spec (Daytona Violet over Cloth-- beautiful), or if it's worth the extra $20k for the new G87. Advice?

I would consider the M2 a coupe, which is also what BMW calls it.

A 6 speed or a sedan isn't a requirement for me so that opens up a lot of options vs what you would have with those requirements. I will say though having somewhat usable backseats and a good size trunk is a big plus of the M2 over something like a Cayman considering it will be my daily driver.

Nice spec! I would definitely stick with that M3 if you have only had it for a few months.

i much prefer how the G chassis drives over an F chassis and i still say keep it. thats a really cool spec. unless you are really looking to blow some dough, then who cares what anyone else thinks! in your shoes though i'd keep it and order a G87 before they go out of production in 2029

thats part of what makes it a sedan, regardless of what BMW marketing says

You're all wrong, it's an SUV as you can clearly see by its wheel gaps.

Man, that car is gorgeous!!

Mine is very similar to yours except I chose the M colored highlight seats, parking assist, and shadow line package.

I am also going to add M Performance HAS, Carbon Fiber defuser, and the Carbon Fiber air inlets.

My CA informed me the prices or these (if anyone is interested) are as follows...

0Z58 - HAS Kit - $3,155

0Z4G - Rear Diffuser - $1,390

0ZL6 - Front Air Inlets - $1,075

*** EDIT ***

I asked about the rear spoiler and he said it is not available. How is that thing so hard to get?

Yeah it's a great car, and the newest I've ever owned coming from all E-chassis bmw's. Beautiful spec and tons of high $$$ mods it came with. But it's 6 years old with nearly 60k miles and the allure of a brand new car with only my name on it is very alluring

Great point! With these not going out of production until 2029 there's no rush to order one right now.

if KIA said it, then it must be wrong. they have also spent years defining a motor as a wear and tear item
