51, have the car for one full week today.
I mostly ride fast motorcycles but getting older so decided to slow down a little and get a "sensible car". Manual, of course. |

Just turned 62, this is my third BMW and my first full fat M.
Kicked off with an F31 330i after years of Audi oil-burners, got the petrol bug and traded up to an X3 M40i but have now decided it's time to scratch the M itch. Nearly bought the X3M instead of the M40i but the ride was shockingly bad. M3/M4 are fugly as hell, M3 Touring is stupidly expensive as is the M8, M5 is too much car for our cramped little island, so decided the little hooligan M2 is the goldilocks one. Will miss the versatility and usability of the X3 but this is the last full petrol M car..... |

27 when I took delivery, 28 now, been my daily driver and totally loving it, would say it’s my first BMW but I came from a MKV Supra, so we can agree that it’s my first M car.

AGE 65
I'm 65. This is my third M car and my second M2, I also had a 2022 M4 Competition Convertible. Prior to that I had a C8 Corvette Z51 Convertible and an AMG car. I've owned over 50 cars in my life and cars are my vice. I like my cars fast and ones that handle well. I still think I'm 30!

Am 55 and it serves as weekend fun car and sometimes weekly driver.
I replaced a G82 M4 which was a great car but just couldn't get/fall in like with. Traded my F82 M4 for that G82 M4 which I regretted selling/trading. Loved my old F83 M3 tho and have owned e46 M3 and also old 2008 M3 as well as an Z4M so brand is very familiar to me!

No wonder this forum has such a great reputation—it's clear that most members here are mature adults who can share opinions calmly and professionally. I'm in my 30s, and I recently left Reddit's BMW group. The discussions there often felt chaotic, with many users in their early to mid-20s. The way conversations played out was frustrating, to say the least.

54 and after reading along, I realize I’ve owned at least one of every 2 door model M2/3/4 made not including CSL’s and led me down the worm hole of digging through paperwork and pictures to remember every car since a teen. Not included are a few bucket list old cars (2 older 911’s, and a 1972 240z
For the ones I can remember/verify including some old used beater first cars: 1982 Datsun 240SX (purchased with 113,000 miles) ???? Bmw 2002 (tons of miles.Had to turn off the A/C to get up to freeway speed) 1984 Toyota Supra 1986 Toyota Supra (123,000 miles) 1991 Mustang LX ???? BMW 325 1997 E36 M3 (hit by red light runner) 1998 E36 M3 2002 E46 M3 2004 E46 M3 ???? Infiniti G35 2008 E92 M3 2012 E92 M3 1991 E30 M3 (second car. Still kicking myself for selling) 2020 F87 M2 2023 G82 M4 2025 G87 M2 (arrived last week) Last edited by Scott Z; 11-09-2024 at 11:16 PM.. |

61. Came out of a G42 M240i X Drive. Owned it for 6 months. A competent car however I was not happy. It was just not an engaging drive. So I sold it and purchased an M2C which is my first M car. Definitely one of the best vehicles I’ve ever owned. The M2C is in keeping with previous sports cars I’ve owned including GR Yaris Rallye, RS 265 Megane, Alfa 147 GTA, Mazda RX8, Subaru WRX, Porsche 944S, Alfa Romeo 1750GTV and others. It seems I bought the M240 with my head and not my heart. Absolutely loving the M2C, every drive is a joy.
