No different than you touching the infotainment screen to change apps, GPS etc. I do agree that having a button would be better and safer. We are all guilty of playing with the infotainment screen/gps etc.

The good thing about Tesla is, you can put the car in auto-pilot while you play around with your screen lol

Personally, there is nothing good about hands free driving. Driving on I95 is a lot different than a boat 20 miles offshore in the Atlantic or a jet at 35,000 feet.

I do not blame you for wanting to throw in the towel. The way they have been distributing G87 allocations has been fairly unjust, especially this far into 2023 production. Let everyone get a taste other than the HEAs that they spec’ed.

I'd be tempted to throw in towel at this point as well if there was anything really comparable. The options are pretty limited if you want a (new) manual, back seat, 400HP+, and under $70k. It's basically an M2 or a Mustang.

Plus a couple GM cars. Camaro 1SS 1LE (450HP, realistically about $60K) or Caddy BW4 (472HP, $62K+). There are pros and cons to both, but they technically meet your list.

I always forget about the Camaro. I guess it slips my mind because I always think it's already gone despite having one more MY left. You are right about the Blackwing, though I think the wait times on those are just as bad as M2s.

No option to pick your tires. All I am aware of are PS4Ss and P0s. Haven't seen poatings or anyone say the got the Contis.

Gotta chill out for a moment. Like any manufacturing plant, they will ramp up once the guinea pigs flaws are documented.

Like most other new cars that are comparable, there's going to be a wait. They'll get vehicles to your dealer when they get there. If some get more than others in the beginning, so be it.

Each year, MSRP hike is inevitable. I'm just wondering how much the 2024 hike would be. Regardless if hundreds or a thousand, it's not a deal-breaker - we're all working adults here; buy things you earned and enjoy it.

If you want a custom built BW you are probably right, however, there are a bunch available on dealers lots and prices have been going down. My M2 production week keeps getting pushed out (I have carbon pack spec’d) so I went and looked at a BW last weekend. It was a manual and I can get it for under MSRP. Autos are going for even bigger discounts.
