I've thought about doing this too. But for what? Unless you've had deposits all over the place, you're gonna start at square one and the wait will be much longer. Those at the top of the list are closer to our cars than starting over.

If you are casting the net that wide, may as well include the Supra (impossible to get), Miata (doable last I checked), Mustang GT (no idea), and maybe the Z4 (nooope). Golf-R?

I looked at the 6mt Supra. Toyota guy laughed and said we'll never get another one

Darkhorse looks great but same looooooong wait and mega ADM like the gt350

None of what I am looking for will be readily available ever

FYI, with June allocations next month we should see the model year roll over with August production. At least we are expecting that to be the actual case. We will see.

The reality, it will be peanuts in comparison to the overall price of the vehicle. It is highly unlikely to price individuals out of the car. Plus BMW is not going to pull what Porsche did across the board a few months back as Porsche is intentionally wanting to move up market, more boutique.

I would suggest keeping your place in line while you try to get a deal closed on another vehicle. Unless you really need the deposit $ now instead of later.
