There also may be some special stitching or other M specific items they're holding back.

So by that definition wouldn't a minimalistic interior enhance that?

Well one screen and less physical buttons would mean less distractions and more enjoying the drive, no?

I honestly don't want to offend anyone but is there perhaps an age thing with the M cars from people who had older M's or just been on this earth longer and got used to BMW's? I mean i'm 33 so not that young but never owned an M or anything fancy but i for one absolutely love the screens and always been jealous of the Mercedes screen setup and the fluidity of their interface. I only got my M2 comp and won't change it until i see the car mostly for the final look of it. I would only replace my M2 if it's as good looking, aggressive beauty. One thing i know now, i am in deep love with my M2.

The look of the dash isn't the only problem.Another huge issue is that they use a very angular ugly design for the gauges. Why not allow users a choice for nice round sporty looking gauges. It wouldn't be hard to integrate some options into the software for the screen. |

I would've been bummed if it had the same interior layout as a 2019 330. Not saying that its not a good looking interior, but if I'm buying a 2023 I want a FRESH design inside and out. |

Don't know why everyone is so concerned about the screen. Literally every automaker is adding screens everywhere.
I'm more offended by the new 7 series and iX than a couple of screens but that's just my opinion

Looks like they retro fitted the screens in the current G80 dash and they came up with these solution to mount them, they don't look organic and natural, looks like a hack mount. I think Mercedes is making a way better job at fitting the screens: Honestly I rather prefer the G80/G82/G83 dash. But again, just my opinion, I know a lot of people will love those screens and having the latest iDrive. |

Anyone notice the wheels?
They look like the 825m wheels offered on the G8X except in gloss black...which isn't offered. I wonder if these are the future G87 wheels. Also good to see some meaty Michelins on there. |

If one is looking for a proper sports car, there are endless options out there to choose from that can better scratch that inch. As far as I see, this is just a souped-up 2 Series that can still be had in a manual - BMW's one and only saving grace.. I, for one, welcome the new iDrive 8 technology, where the display is now rich in color saturation and contrast and word on the street is it mimics Tesla's interface, where a lot of the APPs are native to the system, such as Spotify or HBO Max, which can operate independently without being tethered to a cell phone. Cool stuff.. |

They are basically using the same screens all across the line up hence reducing/cutting cost (intentionally or unintentionally) I think ID8 dual screen fits well with new 7er and iX interior but not with current generation ones. |

Humans can be intuitive and will adapt to the changing technology. After awhile, you'll get used to it, rendering this second nature. Capacitive Touch is the future, for better or worst. I'm not a huge fan of its placement either but I could live with the aesthetical compromise. Just to think, there was a period in time when someone thought this below was cutting-edge technology 😗 : Should we take a step backwards? . |
