how long people are waiting approx for a ss jubilee blue dial datejust 41mm from a AD ?

Good luck getting any AD to give you an ETA these days. That being said, you'll be ahead of the game asking for a Datejust vs say an OP41.

I was at an AD the other day and he asked me what my 3 grail watches were and then looked at me like I was an alien when I told him "Platona, Rose Gold Sky Dweller, and John Mayer Daytona"...Lol

it varies so much depending on where you are and what kind of AD you are working with

So. I went into my AD today with my wife to get her OP's bracelet adjusted and to pick up my new replacement wedding ring (thanks for losing it, USPS)

WTF? There were a LOT of new Rolex's behind the glass...... ALL with "For exhibition only" signs next to them.

Sky Dweller, DateJust, OP41 in dark blue, Explorer, Explorer II, Submariner, Air King and Milgaus off the top of my head-- and a LOT more than that.

I'm "on the list" for an Air King..... but damn, that Milgaus was eye candy.

I was tempted to swap my order, but my wife really likes the Air King-- and there's the whole pilot tie-in to it..... but, I could have gone either way.

So, I guess I keep waiting. But, it was nice to actually look and touch a bunch of Rolex's.

Oh-- and one of the sales reps? Was wearing a Tiffany Blue OP-- Niiiiiice.

Exhibition pieces do not function- movements are frozen. They are for display only, but are same weight for trying on. AD's started rolling these out 6ish months ago, guessing to fill empty stores. Keep going in, it took me 3 months and a milestone request to land this. Good luck!

A little help?

I thought I saw a link on here but I can't find it--

I'm looking for someone to make a nice leather strap for both/either an Air King or OP41.

Any suggestions? Everest et. al. only do rubber for those models.

I thought the guy who did straps (and had a very nice website) was Canadian?

Great watch....prices have exploded on those. Bought mine for $15k in 2019....they are going for like $30k now. I sold mine back in April 2020 towards the full gold CHNR (which are going for $60-70k now).

I made an appt. for Friday with my AD to go in and cancel my Air King order. I've been looking, pondering and considering and although my wife really likes it (and there's the whole "pilot" tie-in)..... I just can't seem to fall in love with it.

I like the look of the Milgaus-- but there's no real personal connection and honestly I think that goofy second hand would get on my nerves eventually.

The OP41 is growing on me though-- I like the Coral and the Turquoise faces (but surprisingly, not the sunburst). Wife doesn't like the Coral at all, and the odds of finding a Turquoise isn't great, but I might just throw my name in the hat-- you never know.

First world problems, I realize.

I'll just have to muddle along with my Sub No-Date (which is a *completely* different watch on an Everest nylon band).

Sigh.

With new watches coming in March, who knows what'll be hot or not. Always good to throw your name in!

I went to drop of my GMT at my AD for service and he asked my top 3 watches. White face steel Daytona (lol), green face OP41 (doable but long wait likely), and Milgauss "z-blue" dial (realistic). Then again, the Milgauss and Air King may be discontinued or replaced with newer movements in a month, so it's anyone's guess!

The no-date Sub may be one of the best everyday watches, though!

I paid above MSRP before the madness for a Batman, Skydweller, and my James Cameron because I didn't want to wait forever to get a watch I might never get from my AD. Also I didn't want to eat a bunch of watches that I didn't want to build the relationship at the time.

I passed on buying an OP41 turquoise for $8500 because I didn't see value in it...lol
