I'll have to downgrade myself to silver as PRINCE THUNDERNIGHT posted a pretty useful pic too (which I didn't notice before replying!) - and an allen key would be a much more appropriate tool to use too! Fair dues!

you guys are awesome. tempted to try this out again today despite the crazy new york weather lol. i was using a flathead, phillips head, some other stuff but when i was using the flathead, i was using it perpendicular to how i should have been poking around. my common sense failed me.

I used a torx driver very easy since it is flat blunt on the end. I found the hardest part was the wire harness for the actual paddle shifters. The blue ones. Could not disconnect them. I ended up leaving the connector and just replacing the paddle to the existing mechanism.

Today, I installed... my paddle shifters finally! Ha. After much finagling and jimmying the screwdriver here and there for two days, after all the great images and advice posted here I was motivated to get this done.
funnily enough, getting the blue connectors disconnected was the most annoying part today. just had to just an awl/pic tool and finagle some more. one thing that may help others in the future is to know how deep to go because i was going WAY too deep and did crack a small piece that seems inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. you have to go in just under two inches and find some resistence. then once you do you push like hell and one side of the airbag will pop out. then you do the other side with a dash of confidence sprinkled in. thanks to the community for the help and i hope my images add to the assistance. apologies for the dirty ass thumbnail lol. |

Just seeing this now, to remove the air bag. A screw driver although can work is not the best tool. Use an Allen key with the offset ball at the end, you can feel the clips and the orientation is irrelevant, if you go past the clip you are unlikely to break anything.

All great responses! I’m now convinced I can do this lol. What are these paddles? I like the brushed aluminum style since I don’t have anything CF inside. |

Thought it was normal until everyone started talking about only having a power meter. There maybe a way to code it but I don’t have experience with that. My car has also stopped showing the wallpaper when changing drive modes, so maybe it’s just doing it’s own thing 🤷‍♂️ |

Added some gloss black bumper fins to the standard diffuser, not 100% sure on them but they do fit with the rest of the styling
