Just saw that.. So now it looks like the Condor will be unloaded first now. It keeps changing back and forth.

I’m wondering if they have the port workers available to moor the ship - maybe they are changing shifts or work multiple berths.

I’m trying to just stay grateful that I’m on a ship and it’s making its way to all the ports within hours of the schedule. No weather issues etc at this point to cause major delays. The unknown of the RFT stage was excruciating and that’s now behind those that are in these boats. Condor looks like it has to wait until tomorrow to moor and is just circling.

I am watching the government budget discussions and hoping we aren’t affected by any shutdown this Friday. I think the Customs must be govt employees but should be essential so keep working? I think everyone else involved in our unloading process is private (I.e., BMW and trucking companies). Can’t remember if essential workers still get paid timely or just the promise of back pay once the budget is agreed. In this scenario in the past, a lot of govt workers called in sick and took other jobs to get paid.

Hope this doesn’t cause a political discussion- just something I’ve been wondering.

EDIT: oh know, just saw the previous post that Condor may jump the Sunrise!!

Well I'm not sure how the Glovis Cardinal is going to jump the Sunrise when it's traveling up the West Coast right now. And Dionosys Leader is a day away. This is really pathetic.

Called Genius yesterday and they said I'm still "in transit to the departure port". Could this mean I'm in fact on a ship and the status just isn't updated? I was RFT on 11/1, so I'm thinking I made the Glovis Sunrise from Altamira.

Any insight? BTW CA doesn't help much lol

No he is right according to the port schedule. Cardinal according to the schedule would have jumped ahead of Sunrise but as he said its off the west coast right now so that schedule is very inaccurate right now.

Unfortunately, it seems very unlikely your car made a vessel at this point.

By my estimates, 3 weeks (RFT weeks of Sept 24, Oct 1, Oct 8) worth of cars made the Sunrise in Veracruz. And then a smaller amount made the Sunrise or Condor in Altamira (RFT weeks of Oct 15, Oct 22)

I'm not sure where the cutoff was in terms of RFT and making a ship. Do we know who had the latest RFT and made a ship?

Assuming Veracruz holds 3 weeks worth of cars, it seems likely that the late Oct and first couple of weeks of November cars will get sent to Veracruz and await a ship there, with the remaining spilling over into Altamira (if history repeats)

I'm still holding out hope that Condor and Sunrise can get into the port today...Doesn't look like theres a ton of in/out traffic today based on the 15 day outlook but this might just be blind hope at this point.
