I'll say, it doesn't seem like the Maxton lip would be very durable because of the design, but it can take a beating within reason. I'm very well versed at driving lowered cars with lips, but sometimes you just can't get around an occasional scrape. Other than some slight scrapes on the bottom the lip remains in tact! For $250 I'll take it!

Yeah mine is still good as well. Some rough bottom edge you can feel with your hand, but you can’t see it.

Is the finish good enough that it doesn’t need to be gloss black vinyl’s or PPF’d?

The finish on mine is a gloss black. It's a nice finish for the price. If you want ultimate protection you could PPF it, but in my opinion it's not worth the extra cost based on how much you can just buy a new one for.

The front splitter on my Z06 is $2k & the side skirts are $2.6k. Didn't want to leave you hangin.

I had the Z07 package on my C7 Z06, so carbon everything. One of the reasons I went with Maxton on the M2. I got a small chip in the Z06 carbon lip and it sucked. Didn't want to go through the same on the M2.

Now the rear or anything else higher up in the car, I would spend a little more for something hopefully of higher quality but there are so many vendors selling carbon pieces, who knows what’s quality or not.
There's cheap, and then there's cheap, cheap. I'll put the Maxton in the cheap, cheap category. If the parts were $100, it would make sense, but even at $250 they're way over priced. I had pieces from Ikon Motorsports on my 3-series that were cheap ($100-$150) that were near direct copies of BMW pieces. Really good pieces for the cost, I was pleasantly surprised. I also had the oem front splitter from BMW and at $700 the fitment was worse than the $150 part & quality was indistinguishable.

Totaling up all the factory options (including HAS) and aftermarket mods in regards to my G87 purchase, the front lip is my only regret. I can live with that batting average.

YMMV

I've had the Street Pro V2 installed for a while now, and it's been great. The splitter is stable, with a flat bottom, and has a more subtle design compared to other Maxton splitters, except for the Street Pro V1. You might also want to check out the KG splitter from Kies, which is around $400.

That was with my wife's corp account which added email tracking ($33/box x 3 boxes). Size of the boxes drives up the cost. I'm assuming Dash Imports (Maxton USA) gets a break on shipping.

could you post some more pics of your street pro splitter. i was considering this style hoping it wouldn’t be as aggressive and low as their other offerings. how much lower did it drop your front? i am pretty low on AST HAS

maxton marketing is pretty crappy. black car with black parts. really hard to tell what’s going on.

Well my Maxton V2 front splitter is toast. My fault but the pieces are pretty brittle plastic. Turning through intersection hit uneven pavement new construction and cracked a good chunk off. Probably buy another and just be more careful

It’s pretty decent looking. Seems a little flat so not sure. I actually took a dremel to the broken Maxton and cut the broken part off and about 1/4” all around, sanded edges…Looks like shit lol. Gonna keep it on till I get a new splitter but need to figure out which one. Another Maxton v2 since I have the side skirts too and can try and use the same holes? I wish they made them more rubbery and could take a hit without cracking. I had Subaru lips that were very flexible.

Wait, does this wing fit OVER the stock spoiler meaning I wouldn't have to go to the trouble to remove the stock spoiler?

While the shop is doing the R44 fender liner clearance kit so i can throw 285s on the front, thinking of giving a flier on the v4 lip with v3 skirt and rears. I feel that combination is the most subtle, clean, no winglets, simple and oem+ look, and most importantly the front lip does not seem to protrude as far out or down as some so ground clearance is still decent. And cheap enough to replace the lip if it gets ripped off. The shop is a vendor/partner so no need to worry about shipping. Will see I suppose, haven't pulled the trigger just yet will talk to them Monday.
