Every time I think the Washington Redskins have achieved 'rock bottom', they redefine the term.

Reports are now saying Kirk Cousins refuses to negotiate a long-term contract as long as Bruce Allen is in charge.

I don't think 'dumpster fire' even comes close to describing the situation in Ashburnistan.

At this rate, we'll sign RGIII since he was just released from the Browns.

If that happens, I'm driving to Ashburn and setting Redskins Park on fire.

So are we going to RUN with this thread through the 2017 season or will you PASS it up and start a new 2017 thread?

I'm now nearly certain this will happen. Redskins will trade Cousins to the 49ers for their first round pick and sign RG3. John Grisham couldn't write a more insane story than this.

Reports say that RG III wants to play for the Jets. Redskins fans may be pissed but at least they're in a better spot compared to the NY Jets. That franchise is laughable.

I thought we all agreed to start a new thread, but I'm not doing it.

Your phone blows up with notifications during the regular season even if you unsubscribe cause it's your thread- so no thanks. Especially since I sleep during the day. I say you start it and I'll chime in on how we will definitely RUN the ball next season with an improved oline

Romo isn't going anywhere for the time being. They will hold on to him all the way into preseason. Some team will lose their QB in preseason, like Minn last year. They will get something for him eventually. If they have to, the Cowboys can afford his salary to be a backup.

Just read a report FOX is pursuing Romo to replace John Lynch in the booth. Retirement still a possibility.

But Russel Wilson looks so fat now...it's discouraging.

Id trade RW for Tyrod Taylor- I'd say Romo - but our oline would leave him paralyzed before preseason is over

If he knows what's good for his long-term health he'll do it. Romo is one more back-blow away from becoming a paraplegic. I shudder to think what he's going to walking like at age 60.

Dude trolled the Hawks by following them on Twitter.

I'm happy he signed with my team but I think he's a bit foolish. Seattle is a far better organization with a proven coach and front office that's guaranteed to win their division. To go along with that, Seattle is a 100x better city with 0% state income taxes on those 8 home games.

Hopefully Detroit's results on the field prove my labeling of him as "foolish" wrong.

But they were most successful when they had a solid run game. Their defense is still top notch; if they get a decent RB and at least an average O-line and they're back to being NFC favorites.

As a Diehard Cowboys fan... I am officially SICK of hearing Romo's name. Love the guy's game (when healthy) and he has great character and will certainly make for a fantastic analyst if he decides to go that route. But it would appear that teams are currently calling Jerry's bluff, even though the Texans definitely need him more than anybody besides Cleveland. So Dallas can restructure his contract to appeal to other teams for a quicker move for something in return (better than nothing) or hold onto him til preseason when eventually some team WILL need him. I don't like the idea of cutting him and paying out all that ca$h either. But Jerry fracked up with that over priced deal to begin with. I almost say frack it, and ship him to the Browns for something! This is a "business" not a "do right by" friendship.
But the media is gonna beat the living ish out of this story up until he is moved...

unfortunately, that "overpriced" deal is the norm for starting QBs with probowl level performance. Look how much Cousins has made in the last 2 years, or how much Glennon just got paid despite being a perennial backup. Below average starting QBs get $15mill/yr. Average get 17-18 and probowl get 20-25mill. Dak is going to get a 25-27mill deal in 3 years if the cap and salaries keep trending the way they are.

I dont see them cutting romo at this point. It doesnt really help their cap situation. Texans will eventually trade for him. They have to at this point. We wont get much in return as far as compensation, but we will get to offload his contract.

Thumbs down

Yeah... This will really help your current NFL investigation Zeke! (even though it's pretty much bogus, but still)

When will these kids (albeit rich and now famous) learn not to do dumb isht like this???

My oldest son is aspiring to be in the NFL and I will do and provide him with all I can to make his dreams possible. Including pointing out all the things NOT to do such as this. SMH

Oh, trust me... I am VERY aware of the fact that this young lady was not standing right next to a celebrity at this particular moment on accident. And she probably got smashed before or after by said athlete. BUT... Still, not a smart move on his part. The Court of Public Opinion is always in session! And especially with the whole, "Pro Women and Zero Tollerance" movement the NFL is pushing.

AP leaves Seattle without signing.

Truth be told, I kind of like Jamal Charles better.

But whatever, I just want some off season splash. Give me hope for my fat quarterback
