I just received an email from my sales representative that my 2025 M2 is on a ship called the Neptune Barcelona that sailed out of Mexico two days ago. It's supposed to arrive in Tampa, Florida tonight. I don't know if they'll unload it there or if they'll leave it on the ship and will sail the ship around to Savannah, Georgia or Jacksonville, Florida to unload my M2. If anyone knows, please let me know.
So, while this is obviously good news for me, it's also good news that the 2025 M2's are on the way to the dealerships. |

I was hoping to be on the Aug 30 ship, but wonder if mine is already on the Neptune ship? Have to call the genius at the dealership! Congrats on yours!

Same. Does anyone know if there were any Individual color cars scheduled to be built in Sept? I believe there is only one week per month that will be Individual paint builds.

Man I think I just got super lucky.
I went in last Monday to order a new M2 after mine was lost in a massive flood. My dealer had no allocations, so I didn't leave a deposit. Went back on Saturday after thinking about it and just deciding to leave the deposit and get an allocation when it became available. I would have been next on the list anyway. Well much to my surprise, they got an allocation, it had a production number, and it wasn't assigned to a customer. Put the order in and left with my VIR. I called genius today, I have a week 41 production date. Skyscraper gray, carbon package, basically every option and 8 port installed accessories. |

I'd like to! Although having built one before, now I know how to spend my money more effectively, so I can go single turbo and still be about $20k less than I spent on the one that just got flooded out.
Unfortunately I don't know if that's going to happen, at least this year. |

This was the response I got yesterday from genius:
Our records indicate your BMW is estimated to begin production during the 42nd week of 2024, which is Oct 14, 2024 - Oct 20, 2024. Please note, these dates are estimates and subject to change |

Oh, I thought genius would only be able to give an accurate production date when your car has a production date scheduled.

My '25 M2 auto, Vegas red, carbon roof, shadow line, lighting package, Alcantara steering wheel with heat and remote start will be built the first week of September and its not modifiable at this point and should be delivered by the end of September/early October. Some personal issues have come up, so I'd rather not take the car at this point if I can help it. If anyone wants this build, PM me and I'll have it transferred to you.

The article claims it’s a brake issue and names the 2 series “active tourer” as an affected model but not the M2 specifically. |

I don’t think that original recall ever affected any G87s.
Also, this seems to say that the recall’s new parts replacements have now been found to be defective. Sucks for those folks. Yikes. Brake by wire - what could go wrong?

The only M’s on the list provided to bmwblog by BMW NA are the X5M, X6M and X”M”. If the G87 was affected I’d expect to see the G80 and G82 on that list as well but I guess we’ll find out eventually.
Anyone with a MY25 vin should be able to search recall info online to confirm. |

I have a 2025 G87 on order awaiting transport at Altamira and I can confirm there are no recalls or stop orders on my car.
