I spend about $40-50 per time we go out. This includes a tip, a beer, and maybe an extra meal for the next day. The small cash only places that cook awesome food are where it's at; Queens usually has a lot of these. I can really care less on what the atmosphere of the restaurant is. If the food is great, who cares. We mostly cook at home. We both can cook decently well so that's a plus.

When I actually make enough money to just spend $2k a month on just dining out for shits n gigs, I probably wouldn't anyway.

Had a great ribeye tonight at a hotel restaurant in South Bend, IN. Ok, it's not NYC, but the steak and sides were quite good. Atmosphere was so-so and Wifey's fish & chips could have been warmer, but otherwise not a bad meal. With 2 beers and coffee after, it came to $53 before tip. Not sure what another $50 would have bought us. Maybe a quieter table and better atmosphere.

Just got back from a a nice littlel Italian restaurant. I had the chicken cutlet parm, she had the pollo rosa Maria, couple glasses of wine. Bill was $57.00 plus tip

Save as much as you can and don't mod your car. LOL I know that's like asking a teenager to refrain from having sex. The M honestly won't need any modding and you'll save a shit load of cash. You're on to good start with a more than favorable environment.

I am not saying you are "poor."

When someone who tells us they make less than $5K/mo but has $20K in cash to put a downpayment towards a $70K car and spread the payments to 6.5 years to make it affordable, you are obviously spending most of your income on a car.

To each their own buddy, I'm not dissing you in anyway. Enjoy the car!
