In '07 I was looking to change careers. I went to the local university (which I previously attended) looking into engineering. The school was Frostburg State, part of the University of MD system. I was told that as a junior you apply to University of MD college of engineering. If accepted into the college tuition was free. This was an incentive to encourage engineering students. So you pay for your core classes and then ride free for your major. The engineering college is available at any UMD campus via telecommute.
