So I've been holding back on replying, but I'm (more) grumpy (than usual) this morning, so here's my take after reading some of the intelligent responses:

Conspiracy theorists are by and large ignorant/uninformed/uneducated on higher concepts of science/math etc.
I see this quite frequently in finance (what with the cryptocurrency zealots) and those who invest in penny stocks... and of late, those going out to protest vaccinations in front of hospitals in Canada.
I mean, what the living fuck, give me meat, porn, beer and a comfy couch, and I don't have much reason to move from that, but I digress... going out to protest or thinking that their 'idea' will save the world from itself when they can't explain basic economic or medical concepts? How much glue they been huffing?

EDIT: also adding the 'tax the rich to the nth degree' lot to the above list - 'do you understand the concept of mobility of capital?'

The Earth is indeed flat but what almost everyone doesn't know is that the Earths surface is on what could be described as a 'conveyor belt' with the Sun & Moon 'above & below'' hence night time/day time.

Hey Jane, I thoroughly recommend more upright handlebars, mine are called funn to which I cut the ends off a bit as they were originally for downhill,. You don't need to be bent over to go better and with added spacers for the cartridge head stock to lift further but just enough, look in the official cycling thread for the close up of mine. Then, a more comfy seat like on mine so no more saddle sore.

I legit just read that these some of these flat earthers believe that you don't fall of the earth but instead pac-man over to the other side... i.e thru a wormhole or blackhole like the ghosts in pacman from side to side lmao.

That is clearly the trajectory of the curve looks way too curvy, therefore, by reversing it, it’ll level out. Hence, Earth is flat.

I really enjoyed the video where they purchased some 20k piece of equipment, some gyro device, and basically said this would prove the earth is flat because "if the earth was round, this would detect a 15degree per hour rotation."

Well, the device registered exactly a 15degree per hour drift so they redid the test. Three more times.

Conclusion? Defective device.
