Miata and WRX both offer four pot Brembos as part of an option package for roughly $32k. CTR for $35k. Didn't the old GT86 offer Brembos as an option?

BRZ did have a Performance Package with Brembos. It will be interesting to see if they offer that again.
Plenty of people tracked the non-brembo brakes though. Pads and fluid was enough for most people. |

Pads, fluid and proper cooling work just as well or better than just throwing larger or more complex calipers at the issue. But fixed calipers sure look better and appeal to buyers. |

Official reveal is tomorrow. Looking forward to ACTUAL information and pics.
If it's really the FA24 with 217 hp and 177 tq (which the 22 lb ft of tq will help the midrange dip of the FA20 which was annoying on the street) I'm going to be a big disappointed. Because it's also likely going to gain weight negating the very slight power bump. It's going to be a tough decision next year to decide what to add to the stable. |

In the picture above the entire car has 6 pistons. Most others have 10+. M2C has 6 in one caliper.

sucks they are keeping the same crappy brakes. My FRS pedal would go spongey after 10-15 minutes on a backroad. my f30 335 held up better than that.

Dragging out your braking zones actually puts more heat in to the brakes, well, it gives the brakes less time to dissipate the heat so the end up heat soaking and fading. Also, if you're fading the brakes on the street, take it to the track. |
