Well that looks....strange

I liked the profile I'd seen before but hoping this rendering is not right

I'm good with the look. Brightening up the tails and headlights to look productiony will set this render off. Nice job on the render.

For those of you who dislike it.. just look at the G82, then back at this.

Need to see in person but looks very normal. The rear design needs to be more aggressive.

More than anything, will the steering and chassis feel be further improved? I don't want refinement but bring back that hardcore steering and even tighter handling that gives you the glued sublime ride.

Bring back the hard sport seats and stiff ride from the fatherland that will connect with the driver and people will think you are crazy to buy this ride.

That's what a real M2 buyer is looking for.

Yeah exactly. The M2C is refined enough. Don't turn it into a modern 3-series which is refined to a fault.

M2 buyers are more hardcore than M4 buyers, which seem more of the "I just want a flashy BMW" type of casual audience. Give the M2 crowd what they want.

This oddly looks like an Alfa Romeo from the rear.

The historical link, kinks forward. The current non-hoff kink is kinking to the rear. Hence not a hoff kink.

The 1M blew us away when it came out . . sooo different from the 1 series it grew out of, a real wolf in wolfs clothing. M2's design, for some reason, has a much more "designed by committee" look and feel. Bimmer icons only come out once every two decades it seems, so we have another 10 years of waiting . . .

The look is cheap and too boy racer for me. But it's right in line towards the target crowd that BMW/M is trying to appeal to nowadays.

Well...except that face.

Love the 1M for what it is / was, but it wasn’t a looker...

The M2 is better looking and more menacing in any guise...

This render (not due to the effort by the OP) doesn’t look anything like a BMW to me. I can’t imagine a M car, or any BMW for that matter, without the 4 front end lights and corona rings. Just doesn’t look right to me.

Hmmm... I love it! I would like it if it had a larger greenhouse though, maybe a slightly lower belt line. That rear quarter window needs a more traditional kink.

I wish for those taillights to be that little bit higher on the body 🤞

Don't think it will look like that, the body looks too much like the current F gen and the rear profile looks out of whack. I hope they do better with the head/tail lights too as those look awful. Please BMW, just get this one right!!
