This is very cool! I used to have an EG that I never got around to doing anything with. I have always like the EK...you are doing a great job. Can't wait to see the finished product.

So I drove my car about 10 feet out of the garage so I could wash it before paint. Feels good to see it out in the sun.

Also played around with the wheel and wing set up 😄

Looking great so far

Are you keeping a budget of the costs incurred?

Not really. I have a vague one, but I'm just afraid of the final number

I can't wait to see the final product.

I have been wanting to do a build also...kinda call it the 2k build. Buy a car for 2 grand and then try to build the car to how I want using parts costing no more than 2 grand each. That would be a fun challenge. Of course, I agree, the end cost would be the problem. LoL

No more than 2 grand would be almost impossible nowadays

Honestly I think it's doable. The only thing that cost me more than two grand was the engine / transmission and the paint job.

I had the glass taken out and had to find a new painter. My painter I had lined up became a ghost. So now I'm just nervous all over again lol. Should be next Tuesday when I take the car.

Better he became a ghost before dropping off your car rather than after.

Borrowed a truck from work and rented a trailer. Taking it to paint first thing in the morning, and then picking up my wheels from powder coat.

The body shop sent me photos of progress.

Any body shop people can tell me what's going on?

Looking good, they are fixing all the imperfections, filling and sanding it so it will be as smooth (if not smoother) then the day it left the factory.

Should I not be worried about the amount of filler?
