I'm sure some 3rd Party seller is going to offer to customizable gauges, that can be uploaded from a USB memory stick 😎 #TheFutureIsBright
Honestly you probably won't even need a USB stick anymore and you'll be able to change it straight from your phone. Another positive of a fully digital display.
Word, I forget that USB-A memory stick is played out and USB-C or high-speed all digital streaming is all the rage..

FYI: All new BMWs comes with a USC-C serial ports, with high-speed PD phone charging. Nice that BMW got with the times and didn't keep dragging on the old, low-voltage USB-A outlets.

They also need to clean up the look of the screen. a big rectangle with exposed mounts in the back looks unfinished and tacky.
The i4/iX has 4 different layouts for their dash as well as customization of what options you see (map, music, etc). I imagine this car will have a few as well...or just the typical Road, Sport, and Track views.

Honestly I like the layout in the video above...just odd that your gear takes a precedence to your speed. I imagine a manual will be different.
I'm thinking that's the track view. Not a lot of emphasis on MPH while on track.

Could be.

The current track view looks identical to sport view, but also disables the iDrive screen.

I think everyone is forgetting that the track was literally covered in pollen which would cause issues with grip.

RIGHT!! Gonna wait to see how the initial buyers feel about the car first. Also see if there is a comp or a CS variant down the line.

Not sure i can believe everything a dealer says but the sales manager from my usual dealership seems to think almost sure that we won't be getting an M2 but M2 Competition from the start here in GB land and different to other markets. He also seems to think it might just be badged M2 but he couldn't say more

That's what they did with the G80/2 for the UK. If true than that would mean you won't see the G87 for a while. The Competition model is most likely 6-12mo out after the base model debut.

It'd be odd for a competition to come out anything but a few years down the line (if not initially).

It'll be odd not to get it released in GB land same time as the rest of the EU. Whether it'll be base or comp, I'm just waiting to see it and how much it'll cost.

Good observation. I really like those wheels. Maybe a sign of things to come?
