man, the age spread around this car has to be among the highest of any sporting 4 seater... a true testament to the relative affordability, practicality, and appeal!

I agree with this post. When I first saw pics of the car, I was not really into it. I have since seen it in person and it is growing on me which is a good thing but what is really appealing to me about the G87 is the performance you get for the price you pay. Not many cars out there that can do that. One that comes to mind is the C8. You can get both between $60 to $80k and get grew performance for your money. I just need something to drive in the winters and I don't think a C8 would be the best car to do that. M2 fits the bill more in that regard.

We have similar builds at least outwards as I have a BG with CF roof and black seats with blue stitching. I just can’t wait to finish the break in period.

Btw, I had my midlife crissis when turned 30 (12 years ago), HA!!! so this may be my post mid-life crisis, if there is such a thing! LOL! But in reality I have always wanted a mean, fast, and fun car to drive. I think the g87 is exactly what I was looking for on a BMW M car while keeping it tight on the curves (owened a 2005 MINi so I’m adicted to twisty roads). |

31 at the time of placing the order. This is my first M car. Before that and still has a Polo GTI. Beginning of 2023 I went to the dealership to have a look at F87 comp and a G42 but ended up placing the order for G87 the same day.

24 here making just under 6 figures. Currently own an E46 M3 that I bought myself as a college graduation present to myself, and an E60 M5 that I bought as a grad-school graduation present to myself. Both 6-speed manual
The goal was to get a really low mileage Individual F80 M3 around this time next year (around $60-65k), but with the G87 getting individual colors for MY25 it really makes much more sense to get a brand new car in my exact spec and I'm patiently waiting to see what colors we get. |

I am 58 and got the M2 as a birthday present and nice side car to commute in. My last BMW was a 135is that I owned for three years before moving on to a Macan Turbo that began my Porsche fanboy status. I wanted the OG M2 but was nearly impossible to get when it first came out.

I’m 29 and work in tech (I work from home). I took delivery of MY24 2 weeks ago and have 308 miles on it so far. I make a good living for myself, so I figured this would be a perfect and affordable car to drive on weekends that is respected by all.

Since I last posted in this thread 16 months ago, I will repost - I am 75 (maybe oldest here?), have had the first of the last M3/M4 Coupes, starting in 2001, all manuals. Age is a number and my brain tells me I'm much younger, but the body is sometimes rebelling! Love the M2 - couldn't get my head around the G82's schnoz and size.
