I've just heard that my car is now Status 193 - at Veracruz. ETA 1-6th June

Nice one, fingers crossed for you. Mine’s still gone backwards and is at 165 having previously been at 190…

It’s due at the dealer w/c 19/6 and I’m off on a ferry to Spain on the evening of Monday 26/6 - so I’ve optimistically booked in its running in service for that morning! Can’t see it being here by 19/6 though if it’s not on the ship leaving today, and the schedules don’t show any other boats leaving in the near future, do they?

Dealer confirmed the recall is for the airbag programming, but that it would be done at PDI and the punter doesn’t normally know about it, unless they’re sad & use the chat to find out

Also, I looked at that screen tab at my dealer’s, and there’s no info on the ship

Yep I'm not going to lie, I'm struggling to find a ship that will manage to get the car to the dealer in the timescale quoted. But part of me wonders how delayed the status updates are.

I continue to live in (false?) hope!

And yes I'm def in the sad category in as much as I'm recognising a lot of the Genius chat names and probably speak to them more often than some of my family!

No, 165 doesn’t seem to appear in any lists, but you can extrapolate from the numbers you can see that it’s too early to be on a ship.

That's really interesting and could explain a lot. Mine has been at 165 for around a month now. It briefly went to 193 (according to the Genius) and then back to 165 BUT the Genius folks still report that the car is at the port in Veracruz. I wonder how often their systems update?

So do you have an G87 in Europe now or was your experience based on another Mexico-built car?

I do have an G87 to be delivered to me by the end of the month 😉, mine was 165 for a few weeks till arrived on Bremerhaven and passed to 181 last checked on Monday , unfortunately we don’t have a precise tracker like the US

Ask you’re dealer for a photo of the delivery update , if it’s in transit it should say “ Veracruz—— next location : Bremerhaven “

Yes despite what the Genius Chat say my dealer is adamant that my car is on a boat and will only show as 'At Sea' on the leg from Bremerhaven to Southampton.

And yes I've been tracking Torino for some time as a likely transport for my car.

Mine never showed that it was at the sea, you’re should be at Torino , BMW works with Kline and Wallenius for car shipping logistics , (mine arrived on Kline Horizon Highway ), mine still has to arrive to Portugal (another boat to catch ) 🙌🏼😁

Have just been on chat and mine is on its way to Germany and expected date is still week commencing 19th, still showing 165, hopefully by magic it lands with the correct interior i spec’d and not what I’ve been told the car has fitted.
