Stuck in “At Port” status for almost a week. Car arrived at Brunswick since 6/9. Anyone whose car was on the same ship made any progress?

A few on here have cleared but I’m not aware they’re showing In Transit yet. If you’re using the tracker, don’t expect accuracy. I’m at the port having PIAs installed and it’s just about done.

Cars starting clearing customs on Friday and the work orders were then opened. It’s Wednesday morning, that’s not much time. Over 600 BMW were offloaded on the Glovis Spirit at Brunswick.

Thank you Sir! I am doing PCD. Do you know if Performance Center sends the date to my CA or me via email? My CA told me that they would notify me by email which I feel odd.

Received this a few minutes ago;

Our program is currently receiving an unprecedented number of reservation requests and for that reason we have very limited availability. When vehicles reach work order completed status we are currently booking into the end of July.”

Your CA is correct.

Rejoice my New England brethren, for the Glovis Spirit has docked at Port Bayonne in NJ.

My PIA work order at Brunswick is complete (6/9-6/14).

MP HAS
ACE 3.0

Now just need to figure out where I’m picking up the car…

PCD has been canceled.

I appreciate that but it’s now on its way to NYC. I’m bummed by this development, I tried for a reroute to a Center near Brunswick but no dice. I wanted the PCD to knock out the Break-In miles plus the additional benefit of getting a great price for PPF at Extreme Colors. Oh well, I’ll have the car in a matter of days.

JustinHEMI gave me his PPF guys info.

If anyone else knows a quality installer in the NY/NJ/PA/CT area, please throw a brother a bone.

Just noticed that on the BMW app my vehicle went from 'Scheduled for Production' back to 'Order Received'. As of yesterday I was a week 27 build (pushed out from week 18). When I talked to Genius this evening they said that it now looks like I no longer have a build week assigned. Wondering if anyone else with the carbon pack is experiencing the same.

Just received a call from my CA. The PCD is scheduled for 7/12!

I’m currently designated as status 112, “scheduled for production,” is that permanent even if I add options to the order? … or will “BMW people” need to reassess my updated order and potentially put me back at the end of the line (status 111)? … or if I’m lucky enough, I can keep status 112 with the updated order.
Of note, I’m adding the M carbon roof option and port installed MP carbon Antenna

You’ll stay where you are. If you were adding the full Carbon package that could possibly delay your Production week or even push you back to Order Accepted as a few people have seen. They’re still dealing with supply issues for the seats. The roof hasn’t been an issue. But of course stranger things have happened. Your CA should advise you if it brings up any issues.

Glovis Spirit has LEFT NJ and is now headed for San Juan. I assume that means every car has been offloaded. No being stuck out in the bay for a week this time.

My CA estimates my car will arrive at the dealership on Monday. Since PPF is being applied, I hope to take delivery roughly a week after that. Assuming I don't get bitten by the knock sensor recall, of course.

Not in-house or anything! They are sourcing to an XPEL-certified detailer. It makes the logistics easier for me since I don't live close by.

Hopefully you’re not at RFT for a month either. Any boats on the horizon that fit the bill?

I’m speculating that our extended QC time was due to the Knock Sensor snafu but of course I have no evidence of that, other than we were towards the end of the build period.

I think it’s just totally random and specific to your vehicle/build. I sat in QC for a week but then in final assembly for an additional 3. I know there are forum members who sat at both stages for only a day each only to end up in an extended RFT stay. Your overall timeline looks good so while you may sit longer in RFT, you’ll still have a shorter timeline compared to mid May builds. I’m thinking early in the month builds seem to be most optimized in terms of overall timeline. All conjecture really though, totally unpredictable process 😁

Ordered on October 26th, 2022 for msrp. #7 at my local dealer in central Connecticut.

Finally received my allocation on June 14th for a July build. Below is my basic spec.

-Toronto Red Metallic, Black 930M wheels, blue calipers
-Black Vernasca Leather with M Color Highlight
-Lighting package
-Shadow line
-Carbon Fiber interior trim
-Live Cockpit Pro (incl. Navi)
-Remote Engine Start
-Harmon Kardon standard is a plus

The carbon fiber roof looks awesome, but I decided to go with the standard sunroof. My f80 has the carbon fiber roof and I miss having the sunroof

Currently scheduled for production and the anticipation begins!

Swift progress after Allocation. Nice to see. Hopefully it continues.
