A nicely configured 718 4.0 is easily $120k.

Remember the $100k is for a base car.

Yeah, even CPOs are around the $100k mark or close to it. That is why I decided on the M2. I couldn’t justify a close to 6 figure car. Felt it wouldn’t be right to do that to the family budget. M2 is a very nice “consolation” (for lack of a better word) prize. Spending at least $20k less is nice!

theres "different" options - RS6/7, M3cx, Z06, GT500, lexus LC/RC F- but they are very much different categories of cars...
As a life long lover of the machines coming out of Stuttgart, their prices in recent years have been…questionable to say the least.

I was also reading this thread wondering what these options in the 75-85 range were and seeing some of them listed makes me feel even better I went for the one I did.

Yeah the price of Porsche’s start claiming insanely fast once you start adding options. When I said ~$100k for a 718 4.0 I had a CPO one in mind.

Realistically though Caymans work a lot better as a secondary car, the M2 is much better as a daily driver which is what I plan to do with it.

Yeah, I don't want to spend $100k for a CPO or $120 for the one I configured (Cayman 4.0)

I'm not getting rid of my i4 so I could do a 2 seater, but it's just too much cash compared to the M2.

Even fully loaded and M2 is $80k-ish.

So for me it's the M2 and not looking back.

Why? While there is a new color ir two that are enticing, I am very happy with my BG at a substantially lesser price.

You definitely shouldn’t regret it, you’ve gotten to enjoy the car for all of that time, and the changes are all fairly minor.

That’s exactly why. I wanted the bucket seats and a sun roof, but back then it was all a 10k option bundled together and added like a year to the build…. I had a f80 with CF roof before and missed the sun roof so I settled for the normal seats. I’m happy I got Toronto red, since it’s not available anymore

are those getting the alcantara wheel also getting it heated? i had an m perf V2 wheel on my F87 (lost heating ability with upgrade) and i dont see how i would need to heat alcantara. i know its just $200 on an almost 80k car just like the wireless charging but if ill never use it and its something that can break i am heavily leaning towards not getting it.

Have there been any real images of a 2025 skyscraper M2? I’ve only seen the Grigio one posted.

I doubt you'll need it in LA, especially with the alcantara
