Also, KennyPowers (or anyone still interested in the tire width discussion), regarding tire width, I forgot to add earlier that even during aggressive daily driving, 99% of drivers won't be able to discern 265-section rears from 255-section. Nor would these drivers be able to make any good use of additional tire width. It seems like this tire width fetish is more of a looks thing than a performance thing. Honestly, I'm always most concerned with whether there's a good selection of R-Compound tires available, rather than with what width (try saying that out loud three times fast) the engineers have ultimately chosen.

I really enjoy the c63 LCI. its a very good car, too bad its auto only. I would own one if it came in 6mt EDIT : ybizz. just because people use these cars mostly for grocery store runs and cant drive, doesn't mean the car shouldn't come with more appropriate running gear. to me its a mistake. and bigger wheels and tires wouldn't stop the car from being able to burn out or drift. hell, a torqueless e92 zcp (9/10 inch wheels) can burn out and drift all day

AMG has publicly come out and confirmed that the leaked wheel and tire sizes that were published in the standard W205 ordering guide were INCORRECT. Looks like we may be seeing some fatter tires after all. See my above post.

Ya I have a current W204 C63 with P30 and I love it. Had an e92 M3 right before it. Ill be honest the M3 handled better (obviously) and didnt set off the traction control as often, but ive never had more fun flooring it and hearing the 6.2 pull away. I cant wait to see what the new C63 has to bring.
Anyways, I think most of these guys that complain about the skinny tires mostly do it because wider look better. And yes I agree they do. But the change in tire size doesnt do much. I went up to 265s and feels about the same. And if the traction control bothers you just turn it off and tear them up!

Also, I see that you have the P30 package. Is your C63 the pre-LCI/pre-facelift version? If so, then I would agree regarding the handling comment. However, to me, the LCI version felt quite a bit different (firmer ride, sharper turn-in). I enjoyed the pre-LCI version too though. Almost got one of those as well a few years ago but would've been forced to take a bath on getting out of my E90 M Sport 335i early.

I usually wait until I have driven a car to make determinations like that but you're certainly entitled to your opinion.
BTW, nice 1M! You ever track it? There was a used one available at the time I got my '13 C63. There were lots of things I liked about it (bulldog-looking stance from the front, fun to throw around, rarity, etc.) but after hearing/feeling that 6.2L NA V8 scream from 5.5k out to redline, my mind was made up.
