Cannot wait!
Just complete a motorcycle trip out that way. Make sure you catch the hellbender, green eyed snake and the back of the dragon, all are more at the top of the BRP if you aren’t going south far enough for the tail. Enjoy.

My 0.02, you are better off having them installed at port. The experience at the VPC is vastly superior to that of some random tech at the dealership.

M Performance is not really an OEM part. Also, if your dealership installs the M Performance parts you get no warranty. Port installed, its under warranty and on your "window sticker" which adds value. On a side note, I wouldn't trust the dealership to install certain performances parts but that is just me

Listen to these two. They speak truth.

Small point, you do get a 2 year warranty on the part at the Dealer but not the 4 year you’d get from the Port.

Very good to know... (I wouldn't trust dealerships either way, but the port part I didn't know)

Perhaps we're in (on) the same boat!

By the way, I looked through this forum and was wondering if anyone knew the total number of 2023 G87s coming to the US. My dealer said there were only like 400....I want to believe him of course.

It's option 3MQ, but I was looking at an old March build sheet.

It is not currently in the VIA list. My guess is a parts shortage.

As of right now there are over 800 in one stage of order, production, or delivery. I would guess that about 400 have already been delivered. I'm not sure why they would say only 400 coming to the US. There were about 350 HEAs alone.

They are 100% incorrect. Well over that number for model year 2023.

Both of these points are wrong, sorry to say.

If you get the parts installed by your dealer they are warrantied through the manufacturers 4 yr/50k mile warranty, or 2 years, whichever is longer. From BMW:

*Most original BMW accessories that are installed on/in the vehicle prior to the delivery to the client will carry the full New Vehicle Limited Warranty. If the installation is made by a Dealer after the retail sale of the vehicle, the accessory will carry the remainder of the New Vehicle/SAV Limited Warranty period or the limited parts warranty for two years from the date of installation, whichever is greater. Warranty repairs do not constitute an extension of the original limited warranty period for the vehicle or any parts (including accessories) thereof. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.

To make me think I'm getting the deal of the century by just paying MSRP for it I guess. Dealers, you know... But I can't complain because at least I'm getting it, and soon!

Yes, if they are center installed at the time of sale the warranty is for 4/50. After sales the warranty on the part is for two years.

Dont feel bad, I'm paying MSRP and I work for BMW. No discount for me for this car. But it's worth it.

You have to read the small print. Dealer installed parts will carry warranty through the 4/50, or 2 years, whichever is longer.

If they are installed a month later the warranty will end when your 4/50 ends because that is longer than 2 years.

Another advantage to port installed items, they will be listed on the Monroney sticker, aka the window stickers (2).

I called a few part departments and they said the M Perf. Suspesion parts are in stock at multiple part warehouses in the US. They’re shared parts with the G80/G82.
