Finally posting some pics. Picked it up about 6 weeks ago.
Traded f87 Comp for it. Ceramic coated + a few cosmetic mods. It's a 6MT.

And how does it compare to your F87 Comp in terms of driving?

f87 felt more connected, more raw. g87 has more precise 6mt. Overall I regret a bit that I didn't keep the f87 for at least a few more months after getting g87.

I got rid of my modified and bolstered OG F87 for a G87. I've also driven F87 Comps on the street and on tracks. In my opinion, the G87 is better in all key driving parameters. More power, dramatically more planted, better suspension, more adjustability, equal or better steering, and a solid 6MT.

The only things I don't like are:

1) The lack of real buttons, and the overly complicated and multiple settings that can only be accessed through the screens.

2) The elevated "4x4" stance, which many of us have rectified with a HAS kit and spacers

I tried 8mm spacers in the front and it was rubbing. Not sure if BMW M Perf HAS would work. I got 1000M wheels, 20s in the front.

All the time or when steering wheel turned to the maximum in either direction? If the latter, most likely rubbing on the vents on the inner fender liners. You can easily remedy that by modifying the vents (verybsiple and a number of ways to modify them).

Okay so I want some opinions-

Next week the new additions being installed in shop (EAS) are:

-AA EL mid pipe
-Awron CANflap smart controller (in-cab exhaust button works with this)
-Millway front tension strut bushing set
-KW HAS kit
-Mishimoto skid plate
-New front air filters
-Burger clutch stop

I was on the fence between KW HAS vs H&R static sport springs. I figure KW is the way so I can tinker with fit. I was worried about performance compromised by lowering kit, but I’ve gotten positive feedback.

I figure maximize my mid pipe with the flap mechanism- I am going with Awron and letting EAS do the install since they are specialists. Reason being is I want the exhaust button to still work in car and not have Bluetooth device or pair to my garage openers.

The monoballs- I hear this may be the best performance mod for dollar price to take away that notorious “lifeless” steering feeling. Never had a problem with it, but I figure why not make it better?

I will be going with Apex SM10RS 19’s all around in the next few months.

Only rubbing at full wheel deflection. Any links on how to mod the vents?

Not sure if any videos or pictures but here are a few options I can provide:

- use a demmel to grind down the areas of the vents that are rubbing

- heat and bend back the vent slats that are rubbing (this is what I did...keeps the cleanest look and retains functionality)

- remove the vent and replace with a mesh grille (not recommended as you lose the directional air flow

- remove the vents and leave open (worst option...lost directional air flow and potentially allow larger items to come through

- I forget who make them (Alpha?) but there is an aftermarket enlarged fender liner that should eliminate the rubbing

One thing to take from the above...the vents are directional to point the air flow to aide in cooling. Eliminate the directional flow defeats the purpose and functionality.

A couple days late on the post, but got her tinted this past weekend. Ceramic 5% rears and 20% driver / passenger. Pretty happy with the results of the mismatched look since I wanted it dark but didn’t want 5% on the fronts.

That looks really really good. Planning for window tint on mine once delivery is taken.

What so you have your MP HAS set to and do you have spacers? The stance looks pretty darn good.

Thank you! I’m quite pleased with the result. I have full ppf and I’d recommend looking into that if it fits your budget.

MP HAS is set to the default 10mm drop (as far as I know, since it didn’t come with paperwork) and I do not have any spacers installed.
