Start window shopping, researching mods and making lists! Also spam the tracker site and mybmw app everyday for updates.

Ha lol, I got the front csl knuckles already here, my coding options ready for the rack and everything and the rear wingy thing to match the carbon top.

I do all this stuff in my mind before I get a car because potential excites me. Still undecided on the wheel, BBS fir evo or the 963m. I like the skeleton look and had the bbs fir on my g20. Great wheels, still dead straight after track days and eurotrips.

I have one in GT (Grigio Telesto) on order the color was confirmed on 12/05 and the status flipped to 102, Genius told me the estimated build week is 21.

I feel like Vito from that episode from Sopranos when he tried to go straight. He was working hard at the barn and thinking to himself that a few hours had to have gone by and that it should be close to lunch time...then he looked at his watch and it was only 20 minutes.

I keep thinking I am being very patient. I call the Genius number to get updated information, I then tell myself "no point calling anytime soon". I think a decent amount of time has gone by so I consider calling again. Then I look at my call history and notice that I last called BMW Genius two days ago LOL.

My car (SG, auto, LP/shadowline lights, LCP, carbon roof/interior trim, red interior/calipers, a few other small bits) moved to status 150 some time between the afternoon CST of Thursday 1/9 and the morning of Saturday 1/11. I have a VIN. My order was placed 11/23, an allocation was secured and accepted by BMW AG on 11/26, and the can moved to status 112 on 12/9.



I mention this to the forum because the misinformation I received during that time frame indicates that, well, anything can happen (or some folks/sources we deal with aren't as well informed as may be thought):
- Per this thread and a couple of others, some orders' Build Weeks shifted early last week, both standard and Individual. So I called Genius on Thursday afternoon, and was told by a live rep that my original 0325 Build Week (Jan. 11-18) was now 0425 (Jan. 19-26). OK, no worries: a week's not a big deal at all.
- I check MyBMWGarage -- notorious for being several days behind actual day-to-day status -- on Saturday morning, and my car's moved to 150, my VIN is there, and I can finally add the car to the MyBMW app.

Takeaways:
- Genius reps aren't always better informed than MyBMWGarage
- Builds can move into production stages ahead of a stated Build Week (technically, my car entered 150 during week two: 0225)
- Keep up with checking multiple sources (CA, live Genius rep, MyBMWGarage, etc.) for production progress, if you feel so inclined.

The stated build week is when the car finishes, NOT when it starts. Do the F12 trick. It will probably show prod date end of week 4.

Yep ... which is funny because two Genius reps I've spoken to (including the one on 1/9) have said the Build Week represents the week a car's Production starts. As we know, Genius reps aren't always properly informed, LOL ...

sounds like there are at least three of us with cars on the prod line together. F12 shows 23JAN prod date for mine.

It's definitely the week the car finishes.

From someone that has done the special order with individual options before.

Seems like you're just in line. I'm a week 3 build and moved to 150 exactly a week before you with a Prod Date of the 17th. Haven't seen any change since Jan 3rd though

My dealer told me I most likely won't see any movement on the status until Jan. 25th. Genius told me usually it skips right to quality check if there are no holdups along the way.

Called BMW genius today and my car is scheduled to begin production on Week 12.

For reference my order got accepted on November 4th for a VB.

Fingers crossed I should have the car somewhere in April !!
