If resellers want to make a quick buck, I would sell now.
Interesting, thanks for sharing. I had a feeling this would be a very short lived phenomena. Once in a lifetime some would say.

In most instances, they didnt earn them. They were given to them.

I am probably considered a younger guy at 28- but as somebody mentioned above, it's the perception of being given things, not earned.

Who knows I could be completely wrong but I thought it was ironic that the first C8 vette I see is being driven by 19 yr olds lol

Once the overhead cam V8 comes out, it's not like GM Techs haven't seen an overhead cam engine; GM has had plenty of overhead cam engines in the past and present. The suspension is a new design but nothing exotic, and they did drop the transverse fiber leaf spring design for a more conventional suspension, which is similar in design to other GM products; I'd say the transverse leaf spring design is actually more exotic. It has a software-controlled dual-clutch automatic transmission, which is not really exotic stuff these days and not for GM either.

The electrical system in new, which is probably where training is really necessary, but I doubt the system is much different than other current GM models, meaning the C7 Corvette was electrically a generation behind and is now "current" with other GM products and industry electrical system engineering SAE standards.

If you think about it, the GM vehicles that really are in need of specialized training to repair are the Volt and Bolt.

My thoughts at least.
X2.

While I have never been a big Corvette fan, now thinking differently, much of what I appreciated about the Corvette was if you either bought it used or kept it a long time you didn't need a highly trained/specialized mechanic and didn't need to be afraid of "worst case scenario". I buy a C8 and blow the engine, I can deal with it. I buy a Ferrari and blow the engine not even sure where to begin (can a local person rebuild a Ferrari engine or am I shipping the engine somewhere well out of state?).

I hope it is always able to be worked on by trained but not exclusive mechanics (if mechanics highly specialized training you will pay for it) and I see no value in them putting up special areas to work on them, this is a guaranteed cost you will pay for but unless the result is better (and it shouldn't be), I don't want to pay for it. I am especially interested in the overhead cam engine, which will add complexity, especially if there is a serious problem out of warranty but I still hope GM keeps things reasonable.

That’s crazy! Definitey won’t get the money back for that.

Envy? Nah I'm happy with what I have and what I can afford at my age.

I started my own business 2+ years ago and work a full time job- I could have bought many other vehicles other than the M340 but I'd rather put my $ elsewhere.

Thanks for the assumption tho bro!

Well that was boring. I’m waiting for the actual tested lap times by the pros. They’ve been slow in coming due to wuhan virus I’m guessing.

And yet another plus for the mid engine car that runs sub 3 sec 0-60, very low 11’s 1/4’s, 500hp. It also seems to be getting near 30mpg if you keep you’re foot out of it.

The understeer issue seems to be hit or miss depending on who's reviewing

Brand new, totally different mid engine design from the front engine car, in only it’s second race. The C8R yesterday won the checkered at Daytona following the long winning tradition of the C5R, C6R and C7R. Took the center podium over the 2nd, 3rd Place 911’s. Corvette racing history continues its winning way.

I'm not sure why you're calling the color new. Maybe I'm thinking of a different forum, but I think a C8 in bronze with yellow brake calipers was posted in this thread months ago. They are rare though with I think only a couple made in ZB before WuFlu shut down the plant.

Personally I don't choose browns for nearly anything. Nobody would call my wardrobe anything but voluminous, yet I don't think I own a brown jacket, shoes or belt. I haven't ever owned a vehicle with tan/brown interior either.

This color isn't for me, but I can see someone else choosing it. It does make the car look more "mature." I think this is a color that calls for some really-nice wheels though.
