Condor pulled her anchor and is now underway....... now we need the tug boat drivers to wake up and get these boats docked ASAP

Condor is definitely on the move now. She has a pilot vessel leading the way.

Not sure if you know this but in 2019 a RORO capsized in the Brunswick inlet. (BTW no BMW's were harmed in this capsize)

Yes, it is clearly the better ship. It was a classic tortoise and hare story. Condor left first and took it's time, while the Sunrise needed to show off by passing quickly out of the gate. Then it had nothing left to feed its arrogance. Sorry.

[FD, of course, my car is on the Condor...thankfully]

A few of us on the Sunrise were told by our CA that 11/16 was the scheduled day for us to arrive at port.

When the ship arrived so quickly in the Brunswick area, I figured it would dock sooner and the 16th was just an educated guess. Everything I’m seeing now makes me think they really did have visibility to an accurate appointment to unload, though.

We’ll see! I’m in Missouri so I can’t hold reasonable hope I’ll be behind the wheel before Thanksgiving regardless. CA said “by the end of November”.

I was told by Genius that Sunrise ETA for Baltimore was 11/16.

Condor is now in the inlet area and moving toward the port. Almost there. Then hopefully we'll get a Sunrise update location and we'll see what happens.

Those of us on the sunrise in RFT from late September to mid October are extremely unfortunate. From missing out on the cardinal to having to wait a month to get on the sunrise. The process was extremely stressful. We watch the sunrise at sea for almost a week in Veracruz not knowing what was happening and then to experience this excruciating wait to get into port….if this is not a test of patience, I don’t know what is. The mere fact that condor arrived after sunrise and was pulled into port before the sunrise is just outrageous

Couldn't have said it better. The lack of competence BMW is showing is concerning. How in the hell are they not prioritizing these vehicles? The only thing I can think of is they have written us off as customers and what's a longer wait for us dead weight? I have to assume you can pay to get to the head of queue otherwise I am completely flabbergasted on the random movements of these ships. Since no one can tell us shit, assumptions are all we have.

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure this is on BMW alone. I'm not saying they shouldn't have any blame but I think a lot of this is on the logistics of the shipping companies and such. I mean maybe BMW didn't "prebook" shipping in time which lead to a month long wait at port but I don't know we can put the veracruz boat fiasco on BMW and such. That being said - it sure has been a test of patience.

My suspicion is that this is a "paperwork" issue between manufacturer and customs. I'm not saying this is solely on BMW although it could be but keep in mind these ships have multiple manufacturers on them typically. So all paperwork has to be accounted for and cleared/approved with customs before it can even dock. They will just sit at sea or circle aimlessly until all that is in order. That is the most plausible reason at this point.

I know, I know. I'm just looking for someone to blame lol. Mostly tongue in cheek.

I'd put money that Leader will be berthed next and then Sunrise based on how things are going. Luckily we still have a spot

Yeah I was mostly joking. Definitely could be customs related, sure isn't congestion or weather related.
