SA just texted me car us scheduled to be delivered at dealership 06/11. sucks it lands on a Saturday and then PDI will carry over to Monday/Tuesday. but its almost time!!!

week 24 production date and just got assigned my VIN. production date of 6/16 according to the website.

I feel you on that, especially after seeing the new CarPlay demo I feel like BMW won't support it for Idrive 7. But if they did it would be incredible. I just want to have the CarPlay nav integrated into the instrument cluster

Not heard anything around production, but suspect I won't hear for at least a month or two.

Hoping I'll get the car this year as currently using my partner's car (having capitalised on the 2nd hand market and sold my old MY19 SQ2)...

Welcome to the forum! My experience (start to finish) was exactly 4 months. I put a deposit down on an available allocation Jan28 and took about 2 of 4 months to get to "production begins".

If you already have an allocation, the production/delivery should be much faster. Your client advisor should be able to tell you when the allocation is expected to go into production. That said, the new iDrive8 integration has recently caused delays and pushed a few people back.

Smart on you to sell your car and capitalize on the used car market! I did the same thing and happy to get the value before the market reverses. Also, this prevents the dealership from leveraging your trade-in value in their favor.

Yessir SA dealership, screenshot showed shipping from VPC 6/8 and dealer delivery of 6/11. 3 days seems like a lot from Galveston here so maybe they’ll be here sooner?

Called today and got some great news after months of nothing - my car has finally entered production! I was told that it entered production yesterday with a production date of next Thursday, 06/16. That super excited feeling I got directly after leaving the dealership in Feb has reentered my body.

02/19 - Order placed
05/06 - Finally get my production number from my SA. Not sure how long it was sitting at 111 nor can I remember the exact date it entered 112.
06/07 - Production begins
06/16 - Enters production

It's already on the way to Bremerhaven but the dealer here has no info about which ship is carrying my car. Anyone knows which shipping company does BMW uses from Mexico (Veracruz) to Germany (Bremerhaven)?

My car was pickup June 5-9 still not left on way here and that’s with an assigned trucking company Hopefully this won’t turn into another weeks long wait of finally making its last leg of journey

My SA says 6/13 is the projected delivery day. We will see.... And my M340 remains in the body shop for now going on 6 weeks...waiting on a steering rack from Europe....ugh

A lot of us are in the same boat. Put in an order in April and still waiting on an allocation. I'm hoping for September or October delivery but we'll see once the allocations are out.

Took about 8 days for me to move from completed to in transit to port. Been in transit for ~2 days or so.

Any other week 23ers hear anything new? Mine says "production begins" with a production date of 6/13 now, so it went back again. 6/10 > 6/13 > 6/14 > 6/13

Check with BMW Genius.. see if you were on the Torino vehicle ship.. if so your car would have all ready be offloaded and waiting for carrier to take into Texas.. your timeline will change to at Port after In transit.. next stop dealer. If your car was dropped off and ready to go your SA can also see if it has a carrier assignment.
I figured out who the carrier was and made direct contact with the dispatcher.. fingers crossed it leaves port today!

For reference as well, the other M240 coming to my dealership completed assembly 5/26 and then took till 6/3 to move to in transit to port. Still has not reached port yet apparently so I have no clue how they are transporting the cars down there.

The production date is the day your car should be completed. Mine is today 6/9 and I'm in the assembly in progress stage so sounds about right should be done today.
