Man that sucks, I’m sorry. Hopefully you get out this week. There seems to be a lot more vehicle carriers at Veracruz and Altamira this week than there have been in the last 3 weeks. I don’t think they move cars to the port until the ship is actually in port.

Depends what port your car is going to. Luckily for me Brunswick has a website that lists all ships coming in for the next 15 days. I checked that against vessel finder.com listings for ships expected in port at Veracruz and Altamira. Although ship schedules seem to change. Ships that were due into a port would disappear and some I didn’t see coming would show up as in port out of the blue. The ship my car ended up on wasn’t even one that was on my radar.

There’s a lot of good info on ship tracking already on the forum if you search (or use Google to search Bimmerpost). BMW Blog also has a good article on how to track your build. It’s a few years old but still good info. Once you’re in Ready for Transport you’re probably looking at around 3 weeks, (maybe more) until you’re on a ship. |

Not to derail those lamenting non-movement of their eagerly anticipated hardware ... but ...
... my car arrived at my dealer at about noon today. Status had switched to 'In Transit' before 7am this morning; took the transport just 5 hours or so to get from Galveston up here to Big D. I pick her up on Saturday ... and immediately turn her over to a third party for front-to-back ceramic treatment. ![]()

I've never done PPF; never really been interested in its benefits, though I understand why plenty are. Isn't worth the cost to me. The seams would drive my OCD side bonkers, lol.

I am looking at just doing to the bumper and partial or full hood only for PPF. Mostly for chips. If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for that and the ceramic ? Thank you.
